Gems in
the Blessed Old Covenant - Discovering the Loving Saviour in each its Books!
Please Read this FIRST: On this site we
prefer to use the actual Name of our loving Heavenly Father as it was written
in the Word, and thus you
will note that we will use the Four Letter
“Memorial Name” of - YHVH, which is pronounced as YaHVaH or YaHWaH. In
addition we will
also use our Heavenly Father’s attribute/title, which is Elohim rather than “God,” which
sadly is the name of a pagan god. In addition we also
love to use the actual Name of our beloved Messiah which is
- Yahushua or Yahshua in short, for this is our Saviours
original Hebrew Name as given to Him at birth in
There are three levels of learning &
understanding of the blessed Word of YaHVaH Elohim (the Lord God):
When we read and study the blessed Scriptures,
the Word of YHVH Elohim as a believer in Yahushua the Messiah, we should keep
the following three steps always in mind for they are
a valuable guide and it will certainly provide us with guidance and illuminate
the sheer beauty and the fullness of our Heavenly Father’s blessed Word.
1. Who was
YHVH Elohim, blessed be His Sanctified Name, speaking to?
2. When was
it said?
3. How was
His Word understood at the time it was spoken/given?
I do believe that these three points are most
relevant to our understanding of 1.
What the Almighty was saying at the time - 2.
As well as what it means to us today - and 3.
Especially to you and me today!
Introduction:
I was amazed, for when I as an Orthodox Hebrew (Jew) came to know my blessed Saviour Yahushua, the Messiah, there were many who asked me, “I have heard it said that you never had a New Testament and in general you never received ministry from believers, thus how did you come to know Him?”
The truth is beloved that I have exciting news
for you, for right throughout the *Tanach, Hebrew for the Old Covenant you can clearly discover our beloved Saviour
and Master Yahushua the Messiah, who is also called Yeshua
the Messiah by many. You can find references to Him in every single book of the
Old Covenant, and if you read the Word clearly, you will find that it is as
clear as day, whilst at other times it is implied and He may be just standing
in the shadows of the writings, but Yahushua is still there! Throughout the
Word n the Old Covenant there is always a picture regarding the coming of our
Messiah and Saviour and it commenced at the very early in the Scriptures, in
fact in Bereshis - Genesis chapter 3, right after that wicked serpent deceived
the “Chavah” - “
“So YHVH Elohim said to the serpent
‘Because you have done this you are cursed more than all cattle and more
than every beast of the field on your belly you shall go and you shall eat dust
all the days of your life. And I will put enmity between you and the woman and
between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head and you shall bruise
His heel.’” Bereshis - Genesis 3:14-15.
And it was confirmed right there in those very verses that we were given looking forward to the days a babe was born to Miriam in a place called Bethlehem, which in the Hebrew is “Beth Lechem” and it means the “House of Bread” and as we know from the Word, Yahushua is indeed the “Bread of life” (Yochanan - John 6:35). Beloved, to me, the blessed Word of YaHVaH Elohim, blessed be His Sanctified Name is far greater than even a precious Gem.
*Please Note: In this study you will soon
discover that I will use the word Tanach
and this is a word that has three sections, thus it is a “combination
word” in the Hebrew and covers the whole of the Old Covenant. The three
sections of this word are made up as follows: “Ta” = “Torah” or the “Law” as found in
the “Five Books of Moshe -
Thus we should also understand that the Tanach is the whole of the Scriptures that was known and had by the people in the days of our blessed Saviour when He was with us, as well for the vast majority of the lives of the Apostles, for the Gospel message was spread in two ways word by mouth and via the letters sent by the Apostles at a later time and they shared the Message of hope to those in many other places. And remember, the four Gospels were not written until a long time later!
Gems:
I remember many years ago, I spent some time up on the Sapphire Gem Fields up in Central Queensland in Australia and whilst there I had a bit of a dig. Amazingly I found a few beautiful sapphires and at first those dirty muddy stones I worked so hard for did not look much, but once they were washed they did look well sort of nice, and one was a dark blue in colour, whilst the other was a lighter blue with beautiful yellow section in it, which I was told was what is called a “Parti Colour” and it was apparently the more valuable of the two quite large blue stones. But, beloved it was only after the gem-cutters had cut and polished one of the larger blue stones, with all those beautiful facets it absolute beauty was revealed, for now they were so brilliant as they sparkled with sheer beauty and the colour was so wonderful and clear! The cut sapphire was a good 11.00 carats, and most valuable, but for me value meant nothing, as I used it during my message of the same name as this article, as well as one Sapphire in the rough, which looks rather like nothing much, but it is very much the same!
Beloved, the truth is the same with the beloved Gem, the Word of YaHVaH Elohim, blessed be His Sanctified Name, for only is not just reading His Word, but we should spend time prayerfully, lovingly and with great desire study His Word! Then reread the same portion and if you have an online “Bible Programme” look up the Hebrew or Greek words in order to get the best meaning out of what was being said, and also check the Strongs Concordance, for only then we will have been cutting and polishing His Word and He will guide all those who are seeking Him so much more than you can ever imagine. Then you also will soon commence to discover His most precious Gems in His Word for you will have been putting in effort and that is all that is needed, always read and study His Word in love! You will soon discover that the entire Tanach is filled with countless Gems, but one Book is blessed with more treasures, passages filled with riches and a wealth of glittering Gems more than any other book and that is the Book of Yeshayahu - Isaiah, which is as you will have gathered the main subject of this study!
What About the Law?:
Amazingly, for years I have been asked whilst travelling throughout the world;
“
Dear friends, with love in Messiah I do have to say in love that we should look at this question, which put to me in various ways, and I will answer it Scripturally. The question, or statement was; “the Law has been fulfilled by our Saviour on the Cross” (stake)?
The honest answer is both - Yes and No:
1. Yes: Of course, the Sacrificial law of the shedding of blood for the sins of man has been fulfilled by the Death and the resurrection of our precious Saviour, Messiah Yahushua! Therefore the answer is YES: The Sacrificial Law has been fulfilled, just as the Word makes very clear;
“For indeed Messiah, our (the)
Passover was sacrificed for us.” 1 Corinthians 5:7.
2. No: As for the Law as was given apart from those that are obviously no
longer relevant to many, for we are not all farmers or priests in the temple, etc, however, the Ten
Commandments clearly remains with us to this very day! Obviously that must
be all of the 10 Commandments, including the keeping of the Seventh Day
Sabbath, as well as remembering and upholding “Passover”
and not that 100% pagan based “Easter!” Therefore the answer to the
question so often posed by christians
who claim that the Law has been fulfilled on the cross” is simply a lie
by
“But I say to you that whoever looks
at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his
heart.” Mattityahu -
And if we genuinely love our Father and our
Saviour with all our heart and soul, than upholding His commandments should be
a blessing for us! For keeping His Sabbath should not be observed because we have
to, but because we really want to, for it really blesses us, the same applies
to upholding Passover, and Tabernacles, etc, for these seven Feasts in all are
all prophetic and four have been fulfilled, and three will soon be fulfilled
when there will be the sound of the trump during the “Feast of the
Blowing” of the Shofar, Yahushua will Return to the Earth a week (seven
years) later on the “Day of Atonement” or “Yom Kippur,”
meaning in Hebrew the “Day of Covering.” Next comes
“Tabernacles” or “Sukkot” representing the Millennium
reign on earth of the faithful with Messiah. But this feast also has a very
special 8th.day, that prophetically
represents the grand finally, and the arrival of the New Heaven and New Earth
and the New Jerusalem and the faithful will enter the
A Listing of Messiah in every Book of the Tanach:
It is simply wonderful how each and every book
of the Tanach reveals pictures of our blessed Saviour! For me it is very much
like Elohim’s reservoir of wisdom as He reveals a multitude of portraits
of Yahushua our Saviour almost if they are carefully placed brush strokes
painted throughout His Word by the
For example:
Bereshis – Genesis: Reveals Yahushua as the Beginning, the promised Redeemer and the Seed of the woman.
Shemos - Exodus: The Passover Lamb without Spot and Blemish Sacrificed for the people, The Deliverer of Elohim’s people and the Manna from
heaven, and the Rock that was smitten.
Vayikra - Leviticus: A picture of Messiah as the High Priest and details in the building of the Tabernacle.
Bamidbar - Numbers: The Pillar of Cloud & Fire being His presence.
Davarim- Deuteronomy: A Prophet like Unto Moshe -
And there is so much more on page two! Link is located at the bottom of the page.
As you can see, we should really understand that the Tanach, the Old Covenant is a wonderful and a blessed Book, for beloved it is packed with wonderful prophecies about our beloved Messiah, and of course so much about the future of the faithful in Him! Although the above is just a very brief account of what is contained in the books, but it does provide a clue and it does give you a good reason to commence your search and discover so many Gems in His Word that you may never have found before!
However, as I have already indicated earlier, I particularly love the Book of Yeshayahu - Isaiah for it is a Book that is packed with unbelievable treasures, beautiful gems far beyond our comprehension!
And that is why we are going to look at this Book in this special study, a study I first gave back in 1984 but I have never placed it online until now in 2015, although it has been rewritten to quite a degree.
Part One:
I remember so back in the 1970s when I was
driving down from
gulley’s
around them and as the story goes, a stone fell into a cave and they heard it
hit something that sounded very much like it broke a clay item of some sort. In
due course they managed to get into this cave where they found jars that were
up to one metre high and as one of the boys looked inside, he discovered that
there were scrolls in them.
I am sure we will all know the story of the “Dead Sea Scrolls” which contained many fragments of the Tanach, the Old Covenant, but the miracle was that in one perfectly sealed jar, there was a mostly undamaged scroll of the Book of Yeshayahu - Isaiah.
It is said that at that time they were doing a translation of the Revised Standard Version of Isaiah and hearing about this scroll, they stopped and waited to see what it had to offer.
One of the
ancient jars retrieved from Cave Four at
For me, this says a great deal about the importance of the Book of Yeshayahu - Isaiah and why YaHVaH Elohim, blessed be His Sanctified Name, would have kept this very Scroll for mankind, for these Scrolls having been retained in its entirety, and it now proves the accuracy of the Tanach, the Old Covenant as well as the importance of this remarkable Book, for I believe that this Book is also one of the most important Books in the Scriptures!
This an actual part of the Book of Yeshayahu -
Isaiah as found in the clay pot at the Cave at the
The whole of the scroll is displayed in a
special air and light controlled casing at the
The Book of Yeshayahu Isaiah:
First of all, the Prophet Isaiah was given a remarkable name that in Hebrew is “Yeshayahu” which translates as; “Salvation (is) of YHVH.” This also tells us that he comes from a family of faith, who faithfully upheld Elohim’s Laws by not just keeping the Sabbaths, but all the Seven Feasts of YHVH and by going to Jerusalem at the appointed times, etc. Thus Yeshayahu - Isaiah had been fully educated by his mother as a child in his faith, for this in the Hebrew families has always been the mothers joy to educate their children and then their father’s would take over as they were about 12 years of age, for the boys would make ready for their Bar Mitzvah, when a boy reads his very first portion of the Torah in front of the congregation and he becomes a man, just as our beloved Messiah Yahushua did when He was 13 years of age when He went to Jerusalem and His bar Mitzvah was at the Temple!
His
Amazing Book:
The book of Yeshayahu - Isaiah that we have in our Scriptures today, is very different to what was originally as written by the prophet and his scribe, for obviously they were written on scrolls. In addition originally, there were no chapter numbers and certainly no verse numbers and certainly no chapter headings for they were certainly NOT inspired! Chapter headings were all added by man and then if you look at them closely, you will note that they are mostly in the wrong tense, for all too frequently they will say the “church” when it clearly speaks about the “Children of Israel.” But was it prophetically, NO it was not, for the Ekklesia would come later, and in Yeshayahu - Isaiah many prophesies regarding our blessed Saviour would be revealed!
It was for well over eleven hundred years when there were no chapter or verse numbers; however, I can say this, whoever divided the Book of Yeshayahu into chapters certainly did an inspired work!
The point is that the Book of Yeshayahu is divided into 66 chapters, and of course we should all know that the entire of the blessed “Scriptures” has 66 Books. In addition, there is one other amazing fact, this amazing Book of Yeshayahu is also divided into two very distinct halves of 39 chapter and 27 chapters. And of course beloved, the Tanach, the Old Covenant has 39 books and the Brit Chadashah, the New Covenant has 27 Books!
I am sure that you are getting the message already, but believe me, there is so much more to this amazing Book!
For if we look closely at the first 39 chapters, we will note that it summarises the message of the Old Covenant for it deals with judgement, the anger and Elohim’s justice in dealing with the sins of man and mentions the promises of salvation that is to come. Whilst the second part chapters 40 to 66 speaks about the coming of our Saviour.
But, of course there is something very
special about chapter 40, and it is so exciting, for we are now at the very
centre of the book of Mattityahu -
But there is so much more to 40 for in the Word this special number just keeps on coming up from Bereshis - Genesis right into the Book of Acts;
Below
is just a partial listing of the number “40” in the Scriptures,
although there is so much more:
Thus we have learned that the Tanach, the Old Covenant has 39 wonderful and blessed chapters, and believe me that each and every book contain blessed prophecies, pictures, types, or even just beautiful paintbrush strokes of Yahushua our blessed Redeemer.
But then comes that grandiose Book number 40 and I love that Book beloved, right from its very first chapter right through to the last two verses in chapter 28, but I will commence with Chapter 1, verse 1 which is very powerful, for it speaks very clearly of the very important lineage of our Saviour, for that is just as was prophesied!
“The book of the genealogy of Yahushua the Messiah, ben Dovid, ben Avraham
- or the Son of David, the Son of Abraham.” Mattityahu –
“Go therefore and make disciples of
all the nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father and of the Son,
therefore in the Sanctified Spirit teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you and surely I am
with you always, even to the end of the age.” Mattityahu -
That very first chapter of the 40th.Book, being Mattityahu –
“In the
beginning was the Word, and the Word was with Elohim, and the Word was
Elohim” and that “through him all things were made.” Yochanan
-
Of course it is also in the 40th.chapter of the Book of Yeshayahu - Isaiah that he speaks we find “of one crying in the wilderness” being very much a prophecy of Yochanan the Immerser - John the Baptist, and that is so exciting for it is right there in the heart of the Tanach - Old Covenant;
“A voice of one crying in the
wilderness: ‘Prepare the way of YHVH.’” Yeshayahu - Isaiah
40:3.
And as we head into the New Covenant, the book
of Mattityahu –
“In those days Yochanan the Immerser came preaching in the wilderness of
And just two chapters later in chapter 42 in verse One there is a prophecy regarding the “Servant … My chosen One in Whom I delight,” right there in the Tanach, the Old Covenant, a book that so many claim is old and so out of date!
“Behold My Servant, whom I uphold, My chosen One in Whom I delight; I will place My Spirit on
Him and He will bring justice to the nations.” Yeshayahu - Isaiah 42:1.
Thus here we see a picture of our beloved Saviour in the Tanach, yes the Old Covenant, for He is there and not just in this treasured Book, but in countless Books of the Tanach, From Bereshis - Genesis through to Malachi with certain exceptions. But of course the best-known chapter is Chapter 53, which speaks greatly about YaHVaH’s “Righteous Servant” - Yet the tragedy was that …
“He was despised and rejected by men,
a man of sorrows … He was despised and we (
“He was pierced for our
transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought
us peace was upon Him, and by His wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep,
have gone astray.” Yeshayahu - Isaiah 53:5-6.
As we know well when Messiah was here, Israel at large “esteemed Him not” and sad Israel’s Elohim knew very well, but could there have been a purpose for Israel’s “blindness in part?” The Apostle Shaul - Paul, who was appointed to be the Apostle to the un-circumcised, or the Gentiles (for we need to remember that Shime’on ben Yochanan - Peter was appointed by Elohim to be the Apostle to the circumcised, which are the Hebrews). But Shaul - Paul made it very clear that Israel’s rejection at that time was part of the greater redemption plan of YaHVaH Elohim, blessed be His Sanctified Name!
“I say then,
has Elohim cast away His people? Certainly not! For I also am
an Israelite, of the seed of Avraham, of the tribe of Binyamin -
“Brethren,
my heart's desire and prayer to Elohim for
Thus as we are heading deeper and deeper into this study on the Word of YaHVaH Elohim, blessed be His Sanctified Name, we are discovering that this blessed Book written by His anointed men covers everything you need to know about His will and desires for your life, regardless if it is in the Old or the New Covenants. But remember this that both books are very much valid to this very day, and the Tanach, the Old Covenant laws, may have certainly all of its priestly and sacrificial offering laws removed, for the latter was accomplished by our Saviour who was “Messiah our Passover was sacrificed for us.” 1 Corinthians 5:7.
Does the Tanach contain the Messiah?
The point is that even though that the Children of Israel technically may only have the Tanach, the Old Covenant, as I have already said every book has prophecies and pictures of our beloved Saviour, but I feel that the heart of the Tanach is the Book of Yeshayahu - Isaiah and that blessed Book contains many more blessed details about Israel’s and our Messiah, thus the Gospel story than any other book in the Tanach!
I believe that the faithful in Messiah
Yahushua should pray that many Hebrews will be somehow be challenged by the
Ruach HaKodesh - the Holy Spirit to read the Book of Yeshayahu – Isaiah,
for sadly the rabbis over the centuries have worked very hard to avoid the
reading of the most important parts of this book, especially chapter 53, which
is NEVER read in the Synagogue on the Sabbath during the Haftarah’s
readings, or the readings of the prophets! However, please pray, that even when
they somehow do get to read this book, that Elohim will guide them into His
truth and reveal their blessed Saviour Who came
to be a man and suffered greatly for all of us and gave His Life and
became our Passover lamb, without spot and blemish, just as it was in that very
first Passover, that we like the Israelites, may be set free, but now from our
sins, and go and worship our Heavenly Father and the Son and receive eternal
life! Beloved, may this truth bring many more Hebrews, and yes, I do have to
say so many lost
I do need to say this that
“For I do not desire, brethren, that
you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own conceits,
that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the
Gentiles has come in. And so all
Beloved, below is all of Yeshayahu - Isaiah
chapter 53 and I believe that it is worth reading all over again, and when
before reading it, please pray first and ask YaHVaH Elohim in the blessed Name
of Yahushua the Messiah to give you discernment and understanding. Also ask the
Father that He will lead Hebrew, Jews to read it and to give them understanding,
as He did to me, back in 1977 when He so clearly revealed the full meaning of
1. Who has believed our report? And to whom has
the arm of YHVH been revealed?
2.
For He shall grow up before Him as a
tender plant, and as a root out of dry ground. He has no form or comeliness;
and when we see Him, there is no beauty that we should desire Him.
3.
He is despised and rejected by men, a Man
of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from
Him; He was despised and we did not esteem Him.
4.
Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him
stricken, smitten by Elohim and afflicted.
5.
But He was wounded for our
transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our
peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.
6.
All we like sheep have gone astray; we
have turned every one to his own way; and YHVH has laid on Him the iniquity of
us all.
7.
He was oppressed and He was afflicted,
yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter and as a
sheep before its shearers is silent so He opened not His mouth.
8.
He was taken from prison and from
judgment and who will declare His generation? For He was cut off from the land
of the living; for the transgressions of My people He
was stricken.
9.
And they made His grave with the wicked,
but with the rich at His death, because He had done no violence, nor was any
deceit in His mouth.
10.
Yet it pleased YHVH to bruise Him; He has put Him to grief. When You make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see His
seed, He shall prolong His days, and the pleasure of YHVH shall prosper in His
hand.
11.
He shall see the labour of His soul and be satisfied. By His knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify many, For He shall bear
their iniquities.
12.
Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great and He shall divide the
spoil with the strong, because He poured out His soul unto death, and He was
numbered with the transgressors, and He bore the sin of many, and made
intercession for the transgressors.”
For those who have some Hebrew Knowledge and understanding, you can see and read Yeshayahu - Isaiah chapter 53 in the Ivrit - Hebrew via a link at the bottom of this page it has both the Hebrew and the English version of this great chaptesm which is a vital Gem within the blessed Word of YaHVaH Elohim.
Sadly this a part of the very book that so
many “christians” tend to call
“Old” and a part of the Scriptures that is of no further use, how
dare they, for it is full of great and wonderful truths and as we have already
seen, and there is more below, it is filled with great treasure!
But I am now going back to an earlier chapter for there is a mighty and a powerful Scripture and one that is really very difficult to dispute, but of course sadly the rabbis, who have scales before their eyes, as this ex Orthodox Hebrew once had, have done just that, for they have disputed Yeshayahu - Isaiah chapter 7:14s meaning.
“Therefore
the LORD himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and
bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.” Isaiah 7:14.
I will come back to this blessed verse after the following message;
I have to be honest, I dispute the verse quoted above as being wrong, although it is NOT related to the “virgin”, for the error has obviously allowed dispute for it had brought a poor meaning on it’s actual and full meaning. The truth is that the translators of this work had little to no actual knowledge of Hebrew and therefore this has turned out to be one of the worst, if not the faultiest translations in existence, in fact it is the horrendous “King James Version.”
Amazingly there are people who actually believe that the KJV is the “only perfect Bible ever translated in the British world.” But, the sad fact is that the KJV is one of the most erroneous and faulty versions in the world, and it has led people into paganism, for it has introduced christians to the world of a pagan goddess through the word “Easter” in one verse, when the original actually states “Pasha” being Greek for “Passover.” The truth is that in the KJV whenever the word “Pasha” appears throughout the New Covenant it is clearly translated as “Passover.” Thus the question begs why did the KJV translator(s) use an evil pagan word “Easter” which is a derivative from the pagan goddess “Istar” and her “moon-egg” and that is why there are Easter eggs and all things related to fertility, and more than that “Istar” had a son as is said by the pagan god “Zeus”? Thus, how can we trust the KJV when it contains an evil pagan word (Acts 12:4), which has led those in the church to celebrate ‘Easter’ instead of “Passover”, just as our Saviour did through His life and the Apostles did, long after our beloved Saviour had returned to His Father’s side, as well as the faithful, for the Scriptures clearly speaks of the Passover being upheld in remembrance of Him!
“Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump? Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Messiah our Passover was sacrificed for us. Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.” 1 Corinthians 5:6-8.
One of the biggest problems with this verse
will explained after I have placed two versions of the very same verse –
one being the KJV verse and the other from a translation is known as “The Scriptures” which uses the
correct Names as I will explain later.
“Therefore YHVH Himself
gives you a sign: Look, the virgin
conceives and gives birth to a Son, and shall call His Name Immanu’el.” The Scriptures.
- Yahushua =
. For Their blessed and Sanctified Names are
vital to the faithful in Him, and we should know them and how to pronounce them
in the original in the correct conditions and circumstances, such as prayer and
worship and study times, etc, but certainly not just in general conversation.
YHVH is pronounced
as YaH-VaH, blessed be His Sanctified
Name, and if you read mythe study the “Memorial
Name” (use the link at the bottom of the page) you will learn so much
more regarding the blessed Name of our Saviour as well, but from this study you
will already discovered that it is Yahushua and it is pronounced as Yah-Ho-Shua although some call Him Yeshua,
but I would ask that you use Yahushua’s actual Name, for let me be very
honest with you, my name is Reuben, and would not like being called Reuby or having my name shortened or changed, why, I have a
name! The same applies to He who has “the
Name above all names!” Using
But regarding the KJV made that one other huge mistake by using that single letter “a”, for it stated that it would be “a virgin” and you could well ask; “Well what is so wrong with that?” Take my word for it, it makes a huge amount of difference and I am getting to that!
By now, we should understand that the Word of Elohim is very specific in its detail, for “the Maiden,” or “the Virgin” means that she had already been chosen a very long time ago by YaHVaH Elohim, blessed be His Sanctified Name, He knew her name, He knew her family line and let us be honest He had already told us that our Saviour would come from the line of Dovid - David!
Everything about the virgin, who would
be pure, was timed to perfection, for she would meet up with her own family member who was also with child, and the babe within her
kicked in joy, and this somehow told his mother that
But let us now go and look at the Hebrew, for there the words for “the virgin” provides us with so much more interesting information! The Hebrew word used in the Scripture for “the virgin” is: הָעַלְמָה - “HaAlma.” What does the Hebrew actually tell us in its fullest context? Well, “Ha” in Hebrew always means “the” and “Alma” means an adolescent “young woman” of marriageable age, but she is be without a doubt a “Virgin.” Thus “HaAlma” is “The Virgin.”
However Hebrew tends to have different words
for the same word, but they will have a different meanings. The other word for
“virgin” is “Bethulah”
however, a bethulah can be any girl, possibly an
Israelite but not of faith, a maiden that is not pure of heart, thus a sinner.
Or a virgin who is a pagan worshipper of other god’s, even a virgin pagan
priestess. Whereas an “
Therefore my friends, here we have discovered
another Gem regarding His Word, for everything is so completly
precise! For YaHVaH Elohim, blessed be His Sanctified His Name, was very
precise about “the Virgin” the young damsel He had chosen right
back in Bereshis - Genesis chapter 3, and then of course there was also a
reason why it said “the virgin”
“And
I will put enmity between you and the woman and between your seed and her Seed;
He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel.” Bereshis -
Genesis 3:15.
“No
one has seen the Father except the One who is from Elohim; only He has seen the
Father.” Yochanan -
In the meantime, ask our Heavenly Father in Yahushua’s blessed Name …
“Teach me Your way, O YHVH. I will walk
in Your truth.
UNITE MY HEART TO FEAR YOUR NAME!”
