-Please Read this FIRST- On this site we prefer to use the actual
Name of our loving Heavenly Father as it was written in the Word, and thus you will note that we will use the Four Letter “Memorial Name”
of - YHVH, which is pronounced as YaHVaH or YaHWaH. In addition we will also use our Heavenly Father’s
attribute/title, which is Elohim rather than “God,” which sadly is the name of a pagan god.
In addition we also love to use the actual and real Name of our beloved Messiah
which is
- Yahushua for this is our Saviours original Hebrew Name as given to Him at birth in
You Are What You Eat!
“Sodom's sins
were pride, laziness, and gluttony (overfeeding)
while the poor and
needy suffered outside her door.”
Yechehel - Ezekiel
16:49 (NLT).
There are many interesting sayings about the eating habits of the average person. One such saying is that “we dig our graves with our teeth” and another is “we are what we eat.”
“… put a knife to your throat if
you are given to gluttony.”
There is a great deal of truth in those sayings and it is unfortunate that in the land of plenty we eat so poorly. We may ask, do I mean we eat inexpensively? No certainly not, for everyone who buys the groceries these days knows well that food prices these days are anything but cheap. In addition it seems that food has lost a great deal of its nourishment by the time we get to eat it, as so much of it has been highly processed and even fruit and vegetables can be held in cold storage for many months and meat is frequently kept pumped up with preservatives, even though in many parts of the world this is illegal, but many butchers and supermarkets still do it and get away with it! Countless doctors and scientists have stated the following about many of those so-called healthy “heart approved” breakfast cereals, “There is as much food value in the cardboard box that those breakfast cereals come in, as in the cereal itself.” This is just another example of good money being spent for poor nutrition.
If it is true that we are what we eat, then we should be careful what we eat because it matters what we are.
“Now we are the sons of Elohim (God), and it does
not yet appear what we shall be.” 1 Yochanan – 1
That wonderful servant of
Beloved, do you take a stand for what you
believe? We may not be under the massive trial that
This applies to many more things than the food we eat, but if good nutrition is necessary for good health then we should make every effort to “eat good so that we can live well.”
When we live in poor health our service to our loving Saviour is certainly impaired. Of course we can serve Him wherever we are and I know many that have been led to Yahushua by a believer in a hospital bed. If we are sick then we can serve Him as well as we can, but the point is we should do our utmost to be well in order that we can serve Him with vigour!
As important as our physical health is, our spiritual health is even more vital in the service of the Lord. Here again it is our diet that determines our health. If we are what we eat physically, we are certainly what we eat spiritually. What are we feeding the spiritual man?
Messiah said that His “Meat was to do the will of Him that sent Me to finish His work.” This must also be our meat if we are to be His followers.
This meat is there for those who are willing
to partake of it, for the Word of YaHVaH Elohim, blessed be His Sanctified
Name, is there to make us wise and make us able to bring others into
redemption in the wonderful Name of Yahushua, and it is available unto
everyone. But sadly there are far too few who choose to digest the Word on a
daily basis. Yirmyahu -
“Your Words … I did eat them,
and Your Word was unto me a joy and the rejoicing of my heart. I am called by
Your Name, O YHVH, Elohim of Hosts.” Yirmyahu -
There is food all around us, but much of it is
as nourishing as a cardboard box, such as the books of men. Just for interest,
when I came to know Messiah Yahushua as an Orthodox Jew back in 1977, I was
commanded not to read any books written by man for at least seven years and
only study HIS Word, for my Heavenly Father did not wish me to be indoctrinated
with false doctrines. I found this to be valuable, for looking back I can see
the countless errors within Judaism and the evil rabbinic - manmade laws, which
in a way have led
If we are wise we can choose foods that give us real nutrition. Indeed there are plenty of books by men around that will feed the mind garbage. If we are wise we will choose Elohim’s Word and meditate in His Word day and night. Let us be wise and follow our beloved Saviour. He knew what to eat and Yeshayahu - Isaiah speaking of Him said “Butter and honey shall He eat, that He may know to refuse the evil and choose good.”
It is time we stopped reading so many books and get back and spend more time reading the Word of Elohim and follow Him who is THE Word!
“In the beginning was the Word, and the
Word was with Elohim, and the Word was Elohim.” Yochanan -

Yahushua said; “No one can come to Me unless the Father who
sent Me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day. It is written in
the Prophets: They will all be taught by Elohim. Everyone who listens to the
Father and learns from Him comes to Me. No one has seen the Father except the
One who is from Elohim; only He has seen the Father. I tell you the truth he
who believes has everlasting life.” Yochanan (
