“Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. Let all that you do be done with love.”
1 Corinthians 16:13-14
Introduction:
Friends, if you would search and look into yourself right now, are you willing to provide to yourself a truthful answer to a personal and what I believe is an Important question in your life right now? The questions being;
“Do you judge yourself
stronger in faith in your walk with Messiah, our blessed Saviour today, than
you were previously?”
Of course, we would certainly pray, that if
you know and accept Messiah Yahushua as Master and Saviour of your life, then
your growth in the Father,
As we walk on His path, your life on every single day in the Lord should be sweeter than it was the day before, for every moment He entered our lives we should be moving higher and higher in our experience with a much deeper and a sweeter faith than what we had a moment earlier, for that is our ongoing growth in Him. You may ask, “How is this accomplished?” Beloved, prayer constantly brings as closer to Him, as does the reading the blessed Scriptures, and discovering more and more of the teachings that Messiah Yahushua gave us whilst He was with us on the earth, before He returned to the Father’s side.
An Incomplete Work:
But be never fully satisfied, that our Heavenly Father has completed His work of growth and sanctification within your life, for it will always be an ongoing work. Even at this very moment as you are reading this study, He wants to lead all of us into complete surrender and consecration. Indeed, there are still victories still to be won, for believe it, and it is sad to say, but there are still sins to be put away, and beloved, there is a drawing together of the faithful in Messiah Yahushua that needs to be accomplished by the “Ruach HaKodesh,” Hebrew for “Holy” or “Sanctified Spirit.” And this needs to be done as soon as possible, if not right now for it is sad to say, that the pagan church rules in the world, for were we not clearly warned by our Saviour;
“That serpent of old, called
the Devil and
We Died to Sin:
Let me ask you something else? Does
“Shall we go on sinning?
… By no means” Romans 6: 1-2.
“We died to sin” (V 2).
“We should no longer be slaves
to sin” (V 6).
“Freed from sin” (V 7).
“Dead indeed to sin” (V
11).
“Do not let sin reign in your
mortal body” (V 12).
“You
have been set free from sin” (V 18).
Temptation, Sins, Life & Choices:
There are some who are tempted to believe so
due to the almost “fanatical element of certainty in every verse and
line.” It always amazes me, but there are some it seems to be put off by
the book of Romans, and only because it describes the perfect work that Elohim desired
to do in sanctifying us from our sins. I have never understood why so many
people seem to be afraid of the word “perfect,” is it because they
are fearful that
As we continue, let us first settle the question we posed before we continue regarding what we really wish to achieve in our faith. We should understand, that the truth is that our Heavenly Father, will never perform anything in our spiritual lives that we are not freely willing to do for Him, because He has given us freewill! Therefore, He will never coerce His will upon us, or pressure us taking any particular action. So we will never feel that we are being forced into any life choices that are not of a completely free choice.
However, we have now come face to face with the basic and sad root of weakness that has led so many people to discouragement and defeat. They just have not been reconciled to renouncing their past sins, for the truth is many have lived where their sinful lives have been full of “enjoyment of the self.” The sad truth is, as most of us will know from our past lives, there is a certain hollow short-lived pleasure in certain sins that glances over the emotions and seeks for the mind to capture a pathway connected to the flesh. However beloved, in our lives there had to be a time where a decision had to be made to overcome the will to forfeit those temporary physical “pleasures of sin for a season.” Until that choice is made and acted upon, there can be no real victory over sin in our lives.
Victory in Our Lives & Deception:
May I ask you at this stage, if you are
resigned to the complete stripping away of all of those past sweet indulgences?
In addition, are you prepared to accept the results of a blessed and a full
surrender to Messiah Yahushua, who gave His precious Life and shed His Blood
that you and I may have everlasting life in the
“Thus says YHVH of hosts,
‘Return to Me," says YHVH of hosts and I will return to you,’
says YHVH of hosts.” Zecharyah –
I am convinced that there are only two
possible reasons for a person holding back and failing to gain the victory over
a life of sin, for it is either that the person is not willing to give up the
enjoyment of the sin or else they do not believe that Elohim will give them
deliverance from it. Always remember beloved, that being willing to enter into
His will, always remains our free choice, or our problem if we do not. But know
that
“Many false prophets will rise
up and deceive many. And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will
grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved. And this Gospel of the
Kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the
nations…” Mattityahu -
“For false messiah’s (
Indeed, there are churches that preach false
“
“And I saw a woman sitting on
a scarlet beast which was full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads
and ten horns. The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and
adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a
golden cup full of abominations and the filthiness of her fornication. And
on her forehead a name was written:
MYSTERY,
“Here is the mind which has
wisdom: The seven heads are seven mountains on
which the woman sits.” Revelation 17:9.
Thus, beloved as we have seen above the
so-called “church of Rome” is stylised as “a woman sitting on a scarlet beast which was full of
names of blasphemy, having seven heads” and we do know that
“Thus said YHVH, do not learn the way of the heathen, and
do not be awed by the signs of the heavens, for the heathen are awed by them.
For the prescribed customs of these peoples are worthless for one cuts a tree
from the forest, work for the hands of a craftsman with a cutting tool. They
adorn it with silver and gold; they fasten it with nails and hammers so that it
does not topple.” Yirmyahu -
“Do not think that I came to
destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfil. For
assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, not one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the
Law till ALL is Fulfilled.” Mattityahu -
The vast majority in churches worldwide simply
do not comprehend the importance of those vital words our beloved Messiah had
said, that not “one jot or one tittle
(being the two smallest letters in the Hebrew script) will by no means pass
from the law till ALL is Fulfilled.”
What was our beloved Saviour actually saying here, He clearly said to the Judean hearers around Him, who clearly understood His Words the Word of Elohim, will not change in any shape or form, neither will His appointed Law, until heaven and earth pass away. Beloved, since heaven and earth have clearly not passed away, we must understand that the law remains and should be upheld, but in love and in faith! However, there is one law that was accomplished by Yahushua, and that was the very reason for His coming, and His sad Death, the shedding of His Blood for the sin of many, and His resurrection three days and three nights later! Therefore the sacrificial blood offering of the Lamb or any other animal has been abolished, because …
“For indeed Messiah, our
Passover was sacrificed for us.” 1 Corinthians 5:7.
The I, Me and Myself is the Greatest Enemy:
I pray that the World will have clearly
revealed to most of those reading this that the I, me and myself may well be
the greatest enemy we face as this means we have let
“For
if we have been united together in the likeness of His (Yahushua’s) death, certainly
we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that
our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done
away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. For he who
has died has been freed from sin.” Romans 6:5-7.
Beloved, we choose to become whatever we wish to be, for we are not what we feel, or what we might do or say in a single impulsive moment of our life. We are what we choose to be. Indeed, we cannot always control our emotions; however, we can control our will!
The fact is this that feelings have nothing to do with the truth of Elohim, for it has never been based on your feelings, your emotions that make you a child of Elohim, but it is all about you choosing to be a child and doing the will of Elohim and believing and following the teachings of Messiah Yahushua being covered by the shed blood of the Passover Lamb! Possibly you may have had a headache or arthritis pain when you awoke this morning, but does that change the fact that Yahushua loves you? Does it alter the truth that the Seventh Day is the anointed Sabbath? Of course the truth is that SUNday is a pagan day of worship and it was only added by that sun worshipping Emperor Constantine, when he issued what was called the “Blue Law” on March 7, 321 AD, which read as follows;
“Let all judges and
townspeople and occupations of all trades rest on the venerable day of the SUN (Sunday).” The Code of Justinian, Book 3, title 12, law 3.
I am well aware that there are many who have
gone to various evangelistic crusades or revival events, and at the conclusion
many are on a great high, yet not very long after these meetings are concluded;
their highs and even their faith tends to plummet, and some even to rock
bottom. This is what is called a yo-yo effect with everything tied to working
up emotions generated by circumstances, but in truth, they have no long lasting
effect. Only Messiah Yahushua, who came and shared the Word’s of the
Father from the Old Covenant and confirmed the Ten Commandments, and did you
realised that Yahushua even strengthened several of these commandments,
including the Seventh Commandment “You
shall not commit adultery.”
Shemos - Exodus 20:14
& Davarim - Deuteronomy 5:18
“‘You have heard that it was said,
'Do not commit adultery.' But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman
lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. If your right
eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to
lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. And
if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is
better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go
into hell (gehenna – the grave).” Mattityahu -
However, Yahushua took the matter even further, for originally divorce was permitted, but when the Pharisees were testing Him, Yahushua said;
“I say to you, whoever
divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality and marries another, commits
adultery; and whoever marries her who is divorced commits adultery.”
Mattityahu -
I simply find it amazing, but many of those
so-called evangelical churches have remarried divorced people from their very
own church countless times. And I know of one man who has remarried
several-divorced woman four times in the same church, yet it is fine with the pastor?
And there are countless of other occasions, be it from Baptist, Methodist,
Anglican, but it is rife in the so-called Spirit (what a joke) Pentecostal
churches and their many offshoots! Where their ministers have become rich, and
drive Mercedes, BMW’s and they tend to live in grandiose mansions, thanks
to their massive fund raising! But, that is how
Thus beloved, we have come to realize the truth that our will and Elohim’s will must meet in complete harmony, or otherwise come into a violent collision. Either we let Him have His way over our lives. Beloved it is my prayer in the Name of Yahushua the Messiah that it will be that YaHVaH Elohim, blessed be His name, will have victory in your life, and that you will allow Him, through Messiah Yahushua prepare you for His coming Kingdom!
Have you ever wondered why our beloved Saviour
Yahushua made the following request in the manner that He did in Mattityahu -
“Then Yahushua said to His
disciples, ‘If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and
take up his stake (cross), and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life
will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. For what
profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own
soul?’” Mattityahu -
Why did our Saviour not finish the statement by spelling out the thing that is to be denied? For He said “Let him deny himself” the question is deny ourselves what? Womanising, drugs, alcohol, or theft? No, He simply said “deny himself,” end of story! Yahushua knew that self was behind every angry battle against the Word of truth. Once that victory is gained, then beloved, all other victories will also be won also!
I am sure that most reading this are well aware that the world at large are outside the will of YaHVaH Elohim, blessed be His Sanctified Name, and are not in fellowship with Messiah Yahushua and His brethren, and we may ask why, it is because they are not willing to give up something that they love more than they love the Elohim who gave us the Scriptures. Indeed countless thousands are in various churches and are perfectly miserable because something in their life has been for so many years. What I am trying to say is this: To be a true believer in Messiah Yahushua, it requires complete surrender above everything else.
I am well aware that the evil one, Satan hates
this study and he will do everything to have you reject all that is written in
this study, and even if you have arrived this far, he will have you fighting
with your old church beliefs and that name “Jesus,” which is a
manmade name, based on a Greek name Iesous, which is not related in any way
whatsoever to our Messiah Yahushua. Even the Strongs concordance makes it very
clear that His Name and the Name of Joshua from the Book of the Old Covenant of
the same name, is one and the same for
I pray beloved that you have become willing and thus Elohim will give you the victory over that carnal enemy.
“Thanks be to Elohim, which
gives us the victory through our
I do have to say the following and this may sound somewhat foolish; however, it is very, very true:
“Before
you can have, you must give away;
before you can be full, you must be empty; before you can live,
you must die; and before you have the victory, you must
surrender.”
I do not believe anyone ever felt so defeated,
depressed, and cheated as eleven men did on that Passover night almost two
thousand years ago. Yahushua had promised them the world and that they were
going to sit on thrones and rule kingdoms and that life would be simply amazing
for them, for they were important. But then suddenly, Yahushua was arrested,
tortured, and nailed to that horrendous Stake up on
“Then Yahushua said,
‘Father (Abba), forgive them, for they do not know what they do.”
Thus, suddenly it seemed that the world had ended for the Apostles, for nothing can bring anyone, or us for that matter as low as that horrific Stake brought them. No, not even a crippling disease, financial failure, desertion of friends, death of dear ones, or injustices of life.
But let us ask ourselves, was it defeat? On the contrary, it was the most glorious moment of Victory this world has ever known!
Not Giving Up is Easier:
Let us return to the question of our sins. It is sad, but we do have to admit that we fight an enemy who is far stronger than we are in so many ways. In the past, have we not found that due to the weakness of the flesh we have found ourselves bound in mind and body by the superior strength of that spiritual enemy. We continually struggle to extricate ourselves from his bondage, but for some, the harder they try the deeper they sink into the mire. Then comes a time when you are totally exhausted, a well-meaning friend comes by and tells you; “I know, I have been there, you just need to try a lot harder.” And that is just what you needed!
Listen; if that is the only answer we have to
the sin problem, we better stop sending missionaries to
Even wealthy businessmen will give away their wealth and take a beggar’s bowl, and spend the rest of their life feeding on scraps of shared food and all this in an effort to earn salvation. I certainly have never seen a christian try as hard to be saved as those Hindu work at their faith. Yet, I have never met a single Hindu seeker who has found any assurance or any kind of peace of mind, not even among the Brahmin brotherhood of the highest Caste.
Not even “trying” will not break the chain of sin? Because the sinful dispositions are so deeply embedded in the very nature of every baby born into the world. Thus we are brought into this life with inherent weaknesses that predispose us toward disobedience. Furthermore, we have all yielded to sinful dispositions. Although Yahushua, born in the flesh was born with the same fallen nature, He is the one and only One who never gave way to any of those weaknesses. He lived a totally sanctified life of obedience.
We certainly do not need any instruction in theology to acquaint us with the facts about our fallen nature, for all of us have struggled with memories of failure and compromise. We have desperately tried to blot out scenes of unfaithfulness from our minds, but every such effort has ended in utter defeat.
However, beloved, it is only when the mind has been regenerated through the process of complete faith in Messiah Yahushua can the individual be brought under the effective control of the Ruach HaKodesh, being Hebrew for the Holy Spirit. Only in this way may the very intents of the heart can be sanctified and brought into harmony with YaHVaH Elohim, blessed be His Sanctified Name, without the transforming of Grace and being “born again” …
“There was a man of the
Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Judeans. This man came to Yahushua by
night and said to Him, ‘Teacher, we know that You are a teacher come from
Elohim; for no one can do these signs that You do unless Elohim is with him.
Yahushua answered and said to him, ‘Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the
The Holy Spirit:
I am sure that you will be well aware, that it is so much easier to deal with the external rather than the internal. Those who are well-disciplined may be able to force themselves to act correctly on the outside, even when the inward desires are at war with their outward conduct. The blessed Word of Elohim teaches us, that this conflict must cease between how we think and how we act. A true believer in Messiah Yahushua will be in control and thus be the same in both mind and body!
Of course, there are many who are convinced that they are christians and faithful believer, just because they act in a certain way and conform to certain church (denomination) principles. In other words, their lifestyle and behaviour identifies them as not of this world. Or, maybe, does it? Can we always recognise a true child of the Saviour by their conduct? Perhaps we can over a period of time, but pretenders are able to deceive most of us for some time. However, in due course the very nature behind the good works will be revealed, and the charade is shown for what it really is, false and pretentious! The prophet Yeshayahu - Isaiah wrote;
“If
you are willing and obedient, you
shall eat the good of the land; But if you refuse and rebel, you
shall be devoured by the sword’; For the mouth of YHVH has spoken.’”
Yeshayahu - Isaiah 1:19-20.
Indeed there are some people who are, well “obedient” without being “willing,” for those two must go together, and of course their fruit will soon exposed as being completely artificial. Thus, what does this teach us? It teaches us that two mistakes can be made concerning those who keep Elohim’s Law carefully. We might wrongly assume they are legalists because they look so seriously upon the slightest disobedience, or we might wrongly assume they are true believers just because they show zeal for conforming to the law. Well the Pharisees were just like that and what did Yahushua say about most of them?
“Woe to you, Scribes and
Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which indeed appear
beautiful outwardly, but inside are full of dead men's bones and all
uncleanness. Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inside you
are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.” Mattityahu -
Always remember what Yahushua our beloved Saviour said;
“I am the vine, you are the
branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”
Yochanan -
The above contains a wonderful truth and therefore beloved, we should understand the fullness and the positive reality, which is given to us in Philippians; 4:13,
“Everywhere and in all things
I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer
need. I can do all things through Messiah who strengthens me.”
Philippians 4:12-13.
Here we see a man who has seen both sides of life, hunger and need, yet he fully understands that he “can do all things through Messiah” who is his strength!
Surrender and Enter in Victory?
Although it is not possible for one who is in the
world to become a spiritual being, for this kind of transformation can only
happen to those who have accepted Messiah Yahushua as their Master and Saviour!
For it is by yielding our will to His higher power from above, we can be
delivered from the bondage of the flesh. The entire being is made captive to
the Spirit of Elohim, and we are able to think His thoughts after Him. The
“And do not present your
members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to
Elohim as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of
righteousness to Elohim.” Romans 6:13.
Shaul -
“I
have been impaled with Messiah; it is no longer I who live, but
Messiah lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith
in the Son of Elohim, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” Galatians
2:20.
Therefore beloved, once we have made our
commitment to follow Messiah Yahushua, including all His teachings as well as
those that were continued by His Apostles, we need to understand that only the
As our mind and will cooperates with the
“Let your light so shine
before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in
heaven.” Mattityahu -
Even though there are brief superficial pleasures in a life of sin, those indulgences cannot be compared with the delight of following Yahushua. The life of self-makes the believer’s path seem dark and fearsome, but when self is surrendered and impaled on that stake, the narrow road is filled with joy unspeakable!
Miserable christians:
Every time you see an unhappy christian you
are looking at someone who simply has not as yet surrendered to the Truth of
the Word of YaHVaH Elohim, blessed be His Sanctified Name, for they are bound
to a church system that was founded by sorcerer, who was rejected by
Shime’on - Peter, as this sorcerer attempted to buy an apostleship,
having pretended to be a believer as well and even been immersed. But he only
had eyes on the “miracles” he saw done by the Apostles in the Name
of Yahushua, and nothing else! See Acts chapter 8 as well as my study regarding

There can be no peace in a divided loyalty,
for those who have not submitted to the true and actual Messiah and Saviour
Yahushua, will continue to carry their pagan
The prophet Yeshayahu -
Isaiah described the very same thing in his day, for he must have seen very
similar scenes. He wrote;
“They lavish gold out of the
bag … and he makes it an idol. They prostrate themselves, yes, they
worship it. They bear it on their shoulder, they carry it and set it in its
place and it stands; From its place it shall not move. Though one cries out to
it, yet it cannot answer nor save him out of his trouble.” Yeshayahu - Isaiah 46:6-7.
What kind of religion is it that must
be painfully endured and borne like some miserable weight? I have seen
professed Christians with that same kind of experience. They have a religion
that seems to do nothing for them but to make them weary and disgruntled. They
are like the man with a headache. He did not want to cut off his head, but it
hurt him to keep it. These people don’t want to give up their religion,
but it is painful to keep it.
There is only one
explanation for this kind of bizarre situation. It is abnormal in the extreme,
christians believe that they should be the happiest people in the world, but
they are really not, all because the self has not been surrendered to He who is
the true and the one and Only Saviour!
Come back now to the
text in Yeshayahu - Isaiah where the prophet described the idol processions of
his day. The fact is, that it was not Yeshayahu - Isaiah speaking but YaHVaH
Elohim Himself, blessed be His Sanctified be His Name. In verse 7 He said,
concerning the idol of their gods, “they carry him.” Now read some
three verses earlier, where Elohim declared to
“Even to your old age, I am
He, and even to (your) gray hairs (old age) I will carry you! I have made and I
will bear; Even I will carry and will deliver you.” Yeshayahu - Isaiah 46:4.
Which Elohim do you
serve today? What kind of religion and faith will you profess? Beloved, we can
only serve Elohim or the self. When you unreservedly surrender that spoiled,
greedy, indulgent the self the end will be - to be put to death, you may
consider yourself dead to the sins which the self promotes.
For those who live a
life in true faith, life without dying to a life of the I me and myself is just
as miserable as struggling to carry a pagan god. In fact, when the self has not
been given up to the death of the Stake (cross) on
But, beloved, what
occurs when faith claims victory over the world, as well as over the flesh and

“I have made and I will bear; Even I will carry
and will deliver you.”
Yeshayahu - Isaiah

Elohim has allowed
“You have heard that it was
said, ‘You shall love your neighbour and hate your enemy.’ But I
say to you, love your enemies, bless
those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for
those who spitefully use you and persecute you.” Mattityahu -
Then there is of
course, a sense in which we need to recognize our value in the sight of
“For we are the circumcision, who
worship Elohim in the spirit and rejoice in Messiah Yahushua and have no
confidence in the flesh.” Philippians 3:3.
Beloved, the truth is
that “the self’ is no longer important; the flesh has no strength
to control the life or fulfil its own will. The song of our lives should now be;
“Have Your Own way, YHVH, have Your Own
way. For You are the Potter; I am the clay.” Elohim grant us this
experience.
