- YHVH, which is pronounced as YaHVaH
or YaHWaH. In addition we will also use our Heavenly Father’s
attribute/title, which is Elohim rather than “God,” which
sadly is the name of a pagan god. In addition we also love to use the actual
and real Name of our beloved Messiah which is 
- Yahushua or Yahshua in short, for
this is our Saviours original Hebrew Name as given to Him at birth in
Welcome to Page Two of this important study that poses the question “Whose words are we listening and heeding to?” For those who have come into the “Little Flock” of the faithful in Messiah Yahushua, well then you will obviously have chosen the Words of YaHVaH Elohim (the LORD God) and the teachings of Yahushua our blessed Messiah and His anointed Apostles, and not those of mere men for sadly they tend to corrupt the blessed Word of Elohim, especially as we have learned the sacred teachings of our Messiah, and that simply amazes me, for it is so easily identifiable, yet, people just do not care, for they prefer an simple and an easy salvation, instead of doing as He has asked of us! Yes, beloved, the truth is, the church generally offers you more of a “Fast Food” or a “Take Away” style of salvation. However, the bad news is, that is NOT good for your eternal health, for you will get fat with sin and taken away to the grave, for “the wages of sin is death!”
It is time that we all start listening not just to priests, pastors, ministers, they are all just men, but to the blessed Word of YaHVaH Elohim and the teachings of Yahushua our Saviour!
Part One - Shime’on ben Yochanan -
Peter - Petros - Cephas?
This great man of faith was a Hebrew from
“When they had finished eating, Yahushua said to Shimon Peter, ‘Shime’on ben Yochanan - Simon son of John, do you truly love Me more than these?’ ‘Yes, Master,’ he said, ‘You know that I love You.’ Yahushua said, ‘Feed My lambs.’ Again Yahushua said, Shime’on ben Yochanan, do you truly love Me?’ He answered, ‘Yes, Master, you know that I love You.’ Yahushua said, ‘Take care of My sheep.’ The third time He said to him, ‘Shime’on ben Yochanan, do you love Me?’ Peter was hurt because Yahushua asked him the third time, ‘Do you love me?’ He said, ‘Master, You know all things; You know that I love You. Yahushua said, ‘Feed my sheep.’” Yochanan 21: 15-17.
Now let me explain what really occurred and what title (no not a new name) he was actually given by our beloved Messiah!
We need to keep in mind that Yahushua being born from the line of King Dovid - David and His lineage can be traced right back to Avraham, Noach and Adam. Obviously, Yahushua was a Hebrew of Hebrews, thus why would He give another Hebrew, an Apostle who was a close friend whom he loved dearly and man who had a typical Hebrew name a Greek title?
In many
“Bibles” it states “(to whom he gave the name Peter).”
Markus - Mark 3:16 NIV as well in other versions, however, in the ASV it states
the following: “and Simon He surnamed Peter.” The latter is also
what Strongs Concordance indicates, that both Peter and Kepha is a surname,
however considering that surnames did not exist in the names of the Hebrews for
they only had first names, son, or daughter of the father’s name, and
that was it. Surnames did not come about until the 10th.century
AD as they were forced to do so for taxation purposes in a certain part of

And I tell you that you are Peter (Petros) and on this rock (
“Yahushua looked at him and said, ‘You are Shime’on ben Yochanan - Simon son of John. You will be called Cephas’ (which is translated, A stone).” Yochanan - John 1:42.

NT:2786 Kephas (kay-fas'); of Aramaic origin; the Rock; Cephas (i.e. Kepha), a surname of Peter(???).

Let us be completely honest, first there is a conflict between the words Petros, because it is a word that hails from a pagan origin, and Cephas that has no value in the Scriptures here, for our beloved Saviour would NEVER have spoken these words to His beloved Apostle!
Let me explain the very basic principle, no one in Judah at that time spoke Greek, although the common language amongst much of the population may have been Aramaic, however for all who loved the Elohim of Israel, would pray and study and listen to His Word, be it at home in the Synagogues or in the Temple, it would always be in Hebrew, just as it is being done to this very day, except there is no true temple of Elohim in Israel today!
Therefore, as Yahushua our Messiah tended to spend most of His time in private or in prayer with His Apostles, or teaching His Father’s will during His years of ministry, He would and could only do so in the language that His Father approved off, and that is Hebrew, for that was the only language that was ever used for such things, it would not have been surprising if the twelve and Messiah would have spoken in Hebrew in general, for all would have been fully conversant, being good faithful men of Israel!
Thus, both the terms “Petros” and “Kefa” or “Cephas” were obviously added at a later date in the common New Covenant by those who knew nothing about Hebraic custom, or by those who simply loathed the Jews, and desired to make the Word sound as Gentile as possible. Thus what they did is change the names to suit their needs, even if it meant that many names even had pagan origins. We may ask but why?
We should understand that times were very different, and there was great evil about and Satan who had just been defeated knew well that he was the god of the earth. He also knew that this one of his best chances and he used it, thus he did everything in his power to fight stopping the truth of Elohim’s Word of getting through to the greater world! Obviously considering that Jews were so greatly hated by both the Greeks and Romans, as they were considered as being a people who had been conquered some four times, thus they were just a lower class.
Translators must have thought that the name of Shime’on and that the title that our beloved Messiah had given him, and I will come to that shortly, was just too Jewish – YUK they would have thought!
Let me state it very plainly, the truth is there never was a person, an Apostle or otherwise, who walked with our blessed Saviour by the name of “Peter” or “Petros” or Cephas, for this name is an addition at some later time!
But was Shime’on not given another name, the Rock? No he was not, he did however receive a title, but let us now look at the actual word that was used by Yahushua, being the one He awarded to Shime’on ben Yochanan or Simon son of John, the man the church call’s incorrectly, the Apostle “Peter” all because someone changed it in the Greek translation, and remember the Gospels were originally written in Biblical Hebrew! See our relevant studies that prove this 100%!
There are some wonderful things related to the words “Rock” and “Stone” and their various meanings as it is rather powerful! There are various Hebrew words for each of these two, but it is two of these which are the ones that play the most vital part in the life of Shime’on!
The first word is אבֶןהַ - “Tsur” = “Rock.” YaHVaH Elohim Himself is called on many occasions a “Rock.”
“There is
no Rock (Tsur) like our Elohim.” 1 Shmuel – 1 Samuel 2:2.
Elohim is indeed a Rock, and the reason why is, that He is all powerful and that He is totally reliable and a sure source of strength and He endures throughout every generation!
There is no unrighteousness found in Him for YaHVaH Elohim, blessed be His Sanctified Name, is completely upright (Davarim - Deuteronomy 32:4; Tehillim - Psalms 92:15). Elohim is a Rock of Salvation (Davarim - Deuteronomy 32:15; Tehillim - Psalms 89:26). He is a strong refuge in which his people may take shelter from any difficulty (cf. Tehillim - Psalms 94:22). In distress the Psalmists cry out to YaHVaH so that they may experience the security of His steadfast endurance (Tehillim - Psalms 27:5; Tehillim - Psalms 28:1).
The coming Messiah is also called “a rock of stumbling” in Yeshayahu - Isaiah 8:14. For He cannot be ignored; all who come into contact with Him are made aware of their sin and misunderstanding about Elohim’s way of providing salvation.
Some will stumble and are broken to repentance; others fall and are crushed by the rock itself and become stones as the Brit Chadashah, the New Covenant so clearly states!
“‘The stone the builders rejected
has become the capstone; YHVH has done this, and it is marvellous in our eyes?
Therefore I tell you that the
“A stone that causes men to stumble and a ROCK that makes them fall. They stumble because they disobey the message.” 1 Shime’on ben Yochanan (Peter) 2:8.
Therefore as “Tsur” –
“Rock” was more often used for a large rock, or a large
stone that was hewn from a rock, such as the massive temple cornerstone, a
stone to build with this word was not used for
“The Stone” in Hebrew is; אבֶןהַ -
“HaEven” - “Ha” = “the” - “
But let me first explain why it had to be a “Stone,” rather than a “Rock?” We have already read from Scripture that both YaHVaH and Yahushua are referred to as the “Rock.”
But there is also this, Messiah was “the
Rock (haTsur)” that followed
“I will stand there before you by the
rock (הַצּוּר) - HaTzur) הַצּוּר at
Horeb. Strike the rock (haTsur), and water will come out of it for the
people to drink.’ So Moshe -
Therefore, If Yahushua would have given Shime’on a title, for He would never have changed his name, for that was just never done and not the Hebraic way. Elohim did not even change Ya’akov – Jacob’s name, but he was given a new title after he strived with Elohim during the night. This title was “Yisroel” - “Israel,” which means “He who has wrestled, or striven with Elohim.” But generally throughout the Word and to this day, he is still called by his regular name of Ya’akov – Jacob and only very occasionally by his anointed given title “Israel.” But out of him grew the Twelve Tribes of Israel and that may well have been the main purpose of YaHVaH’s meaning, thus here we also see the Almighty’s foreknowledge!
Therefore
In its first occurrence you will note that “E’ben” refers to precious stones, such as in Bereshis - Genesis 2:12, where it speaks of “e’ben hashoham,” being “onyx stones.” However it is also used in combination with “cornelians” “lapis lazuli” and “Sappir” being Sapphire.”
There are a half a dozen other places where these two words come together. “Sappîr” occurs with E’ben in Yechehel - Ezekiel 1:26 and chapter 10:1.
An indication that one, or a series of stones are extremely valuable is the Hebrew word “Mi’lu’im,” which basically means “CONSECRATED.” But it can also mean as stated in Shemos - Exodus 25:7 where it means “to be set.”
“Onyx stones (אבֶן - e’ben), and stones (e’ben) to be set in the ephod and in the breastplate.” Shemos - Exodus 25:7.
Thus considering these “Stones (e’ben) have to be set in the Ephod, and in the Breastplate” it obviously had to be first “consecrated!”
In Mashley Shlomo - Proverbs 17:8 is found the expression “E’ben chen,” which is literally “Stone of grace” and is usually rendered “Precious.” or similar. Then in Yeshayahu - Isaiah 54:12 there are two additional word combinations, “e’ben eq’dach” and “e’ben che’pets.” The first being “stones of carbuncles” or “fiery stones.” And the second being “pleasant stones” be they “garnet,” and “jewels,” “crystal,” or other “precious stones.”
Thus, all of these were special stones, many even consecrated stones that were sparkling with fire!
Thus in E'ben Yahushua revealed something very powerful about Shime’on ben Yochanan for he was a man worthy to be chosen as the forthcoming leader of the Faithful when our loving Saviour would eventually be gone from the earth! The truth is that Yahushua needed a strong leader who would remain 100% faithful. Now that does not mean that Shime’on would be a perfect man, no certainly not, for Yahushua knew him too well, did he not foretell that he would deny Him three times before the cock would crow on that fateful night? And remember that it was as Yahushua said “For this was not revealed to you by man, but by My Father in heaven.” Mattityahu – Matthew 16:17.
Thus we have now established that Shime’on who had received the title “Eben” - “Stone” but he certainly never had another name. It is said by some theologians that “Peter had a Cephas as a surname” whist other claim that Petros was a surname. The truth is that Hebrews never had surnames until the 10th.century and that the names – “Peter,” “Petros” and “Cephas” were all added long after the original Hebrew New Covenant had been written and that is a sad state of event, yet the church has been stuck with this great error since the universal (Roman) church came into being, and that is so tragic, for no has a real desire to speak the truth even when there are those who know it, and why is that? For they will be ridiculed and, worse still, they will loose their cushy job of being a minister, pastor and even a priest and even a bishop! Thus the error continues, but the Truth must be told and I pray beloved that the Holy Spirit will have touched with His Truth, for only YHVH Elohim, through the ever loving Grace of Yahushua THE Messiah, will you feel safe and assured!
Introduction Galatians:
Thus, there are certain things written in the “Bible” as we tend to know the blessed Scriptures now that rather contradicts what Shaul – Paul actually stood for and believed, including what our beloved Saviour Yahushua and Shime’on Ben Yochanan (E’ben) had said and taught previously!
Therefore let us briefly look at what Shaul of Tarsus – Paul wrote to Timotheos – Timothy.
“All scripture grafh (grafeé) is given by inspiration of Elohim (God) and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of Elohim may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” 2 Timotheos – 2 Timothy 3:16-17. Please Note: The Greek font is Bwgrkl.
We should note that throughout the Brit Chadashah - The New Covenant this word “grafeé” – “scripture” is used, however do we really understand the meaning of what the Apostles were really saying, when they used this word? Sadly beloved, these days the wonderful words “All scripture is given by inspiration of Elohim, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, etc,” are usually used completely out of context from the meaning as it was given at the time it was stated!
You may ask me, “How can you possibly say that, it is a lie, surely it is?” No it is not, for we must always remember that on every single study on this site I place an important help for your guidance at the top of every single study, which I pray you read carefully, for the principle contained therein MUST be followed when we read the Word in order that we can understand what the Almighty, our loving Saviour and His Apostles are saying when they spoke, but also how it applies to us today!
Let me briefly list them once again: 1.
Who was the servant of Messiah speaking to?
The point is beloved, that “the scriptures” that Shaul – Paul was speaking about whenever he spoke about them was of course the Tanach, what the church calls the “Old Covenant”, for we should remember very clearly that there was NO Brit Chadashah completed as yet, thus the scriptures referred to throughout the entire Brit Chadashah – the New Covenant always means the Tanach, the Old Covenant, containing the Ten Commandments!
Thus if you take and apply this letter (Epistle) as taught you will discover that there are some big problems, for anyone who knows the Word, understands that our beloved Saviour observed the “Law” throughout His life, in addition, so did all of His Apostles and yes so did Shaul himself. Shaul confirms throughout his own writings that he upheld the “Seventh Say Sabbath” and all the “Seven Feasts of YHVH.”
Now, let me pose a question: But did the Apostles uphold all the 613 Law’s as found in the Torah after Yahushua ascended to His Father? No they certainly did not, and neither would I myself! For the many of the laws had indeed been fulfilled by our blessed Saviour Yahushua, such as the sacrificial laws, which He fulfilled once and for ALL! In addition there were many others that were only valid to the priests and as they were now done away with in Elohim’s plans, as the faithful are now His priests and we have other duties in Him, but the point is, Yahushua took many laws away!
However, there are some laws that remain and those are 1. The Ten Commandments. 2. The Sabbath, which was given on the Seventh day for man to uphold forever! 3. and one that goes back to the time when man was first given the knowledge of what was clean and unclean food, a question greatly misunderstood! Remember Noach knew what was clean and unclean as he was commanded to load the Ark in the correct manner! 4. And of course what is known as the “Royal Law” one that Yahushua so clearly spoke about!
But what is that Other Law:
We all know the following story in the Brit Chadashah, the New Covenant of the Apostles “picking some heads of grain” in the field to eat;
“At that time Yahushua went through the grain fields on the Sabbath. His disciples were hungry and began to pick some heads of grain and eat them. When the Pharisees saw this, they said to him, ‘Look! Your disciples are doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath.’ He (Yahushua) answered, ‘Haven't you read what Dovid - David did when he and his companions were hungry? He entered the house of Elohim, and he and his companions ate the consecrated bread, which was not lawful for them to do, but only for the priests. Or haven't you read in the Law that on the Sabbath the priests in the temple desecrate the day and yet are innocent? I tell you that one greater than the temple is here. If you had known what these words mean, “I desire mercy, not sacrifice,’ you would not have condemned the innocent. For the Son of Man is Master of the Sabbath.’” Mattityahu - Matthew 12:1-8.
There are several powerful points that many who read this Scripture that may not be fully understood, for once again what is required are the three points stated at the top of the page and some knowledge of the law as the people knew it at that time! Let me explain.
As Yahushua replied, you will note that He did not attack them for the rabbinic law for it seemed unnecessary at that moment, thus He took another way, being the way of righteousness!
However, before we continue, we should understand that there are only three laws given in relation to the Sabbath, and these are: 1. To honour YHVH Elohim and to worship Him and now of course Yahushua the Messiah! 2. Not to do any servile work, meaning work for a living or to supply the weekly food or at least for more than two days, etc. 3. Not to kindle any fire. Now many have asked me, “What does this mean?” These days, Jews are not allowed to drive a car for it has spark plugs and they make fire, or the modern car have lit up panel’s, that is fire of some sort. At home, you have to leave certain lights on over the entire Sabbath, for it is forbidden to switch on and off, even the fridge light must be blocked during the Sabbath, for as you open the door, it will switch on and off and if that happened you have broken the Sabbath law. Unbelievably, they even tear the toilet paper in advance; for the rabbinic law has it “you shall not tear.” What utter rubbish! The rabbis even have a law about catching a flea or lice, which one you can, or cannot catch on a Sabbath. You may NOT catch a flea for you can get a flea later, but lice you are ALLOWED to catch for you may not get it later! Have you ever heard such trash in your life, where would you find that in the Law of YaHVaH Elohim? Frankly nowhere, it is part of man’s stupidity in a mass of rabbinic’s ideas in books called the Talmud, where countless rabbis have varying ideas and many even totally disagree with each other and yet they all made these hideous laws!
Now back to lighting a fire. We must understand that Elohim loves to look after everyone, men and women and as men have been catered for with “you shall do no servile work,” the law stating, “you shall kindle no fire” is in fact a blessing for the lady of the house and her daughters should there be any! In those days it was always the women who lit the fire. All cooking was always done on a fire, thus on the Sabbath there would be NO cooking for her to do, and she would also have a rest! On the sixth day, (Friday afternoon) she would prepare a special hot Sabbath meal and have the table set up like a festive time, for the Sabbath is the very first of the Feasts mentioned, except this is a weekly one, whilst the other seven are annual, but they all commence with a High Sabbath, and some even conclude with a Sabbath! Sadly many who uphold the Sabbath forget this fact!
Many do not realise that women in Judaism have an honoured role, for they are the ones who are privileged to bring in the Sabbath and the Feasts into the home, as well have the responsibility of teaching their children the things of Elohim, and that is why Elohim ensured that they are left at rest on the Sabbath Day and do not have to do any work!
Back to the field of grain: Yahushua continues to tell these Pharisees about King Dovid and the priests in the Temple and then makes a big statement – “I tell you that one greater than the temple is here.” He was saying if they could go into the temple to do all that, I AM greater to be here in this field and do as we wish! We also need to remember that the truth is that no one was breaking the law, for no one was doing any servile work! Some could say, what about having to collect a double portion Manna on a Friday and nothing of the Sabbath? We need to remember that at that time, Israel was being extremely rebellious having come out of Egypt and most of them had been worshipping pagan gods and only had just come back, but they had been complaining and carrying on and on! Thus this was a test before they reached Mt Sinai. Thus in the field no law was broken, except the rabbinic, man-made law!
Yahushua concluded with some of the most powerful words that would have completely confounded these Pharisees; “If you had known what these words mean, “I desire mercy, not sacrifice,’ you would not have condemned the innocent. For the Son of Man is Master of the Sabbath.”
Intro to Some
Changes to Enter the Church:
However, all who genuinely love the Almighty and our blessed Saviour, no matter what, if we are only willing to check and double check the blessed Word of YaHVaH Elohim, blessed be His Sanctified Name, then I am sure we will all grow and come closer to His truth! But it is also good for you to pray right now and ask our Heavenly Father in the Name of Yahushua for guidance and discernment as you continue, for nothing else but HIS TRUTH is that matters, my words mean nothing, only that He says, and it MUST be backed up by His Word! Be assured that a great deal of prayer has gone into this study before it was commenced!
When one of the faithful in Messiah Yahushua who knows and loves the Word and faithfully follows their Saviour shares with a nominal “Christian” that the greater church has not only done away with the blessed Commandments, such as the fourth commanded of YHVH Elohim, upheld by our Saviour and all the Apostles, being the Seventh Day Sabbath that He gave unto His people from the beginning of time and reaffirmed to Israel at Mt Sinai, they will come back with “But brother (or sister) you really need to read the book of Galatians for you are in error, for we are ‘Justified by faith!’”
Beloved, in spite of the multitude of
scriptures in the “Brit Chadashah” or “New Covenant”
that demonstrate we should keep YaHVaH’s Sabbath, many understand Shaul
of Tarsus (Paul’s) letter to Galatians really states the opposite.
In addition it also proves that while we are not saved by our just observing the law, but that true believers in true love of YaHVaH Elohim and our Saviour will make a sincere effort to do all that is right and love his neighbour as himself, and love his enemies, etc just as our Redeemer taught us, and by doing this we would seek to be walking according to the Elohim’s and Yahushua’s precepts, for who would deny that the Ten Commandments has been abolished today? Even though it seems that the greater church had abolished the forth one, all because first that satanic Babylonian priest and sorcerer whose name was Simon Magnus and later came that pagan sun god worshipper who decided on changing it by changing it by law to the first day of the week, the day of the goddess “Mithra” the sun god, that day is named SUNday all thanks to that pagan Emperor Constantine’s infamous Blue Law on March 7, 321 A.D., which read …
“On the venerable Day of the Sun let the magistrates and
people residing in cities rest, and let all workshops be closed.” (Codex
Justinianus 3.12.3).
This law was originally imposed by Simon Magnus, and upheld much later by Constantine who loved Simon’s universal church that was a mixture of Babylonian, Egyptian, Roman, Greek and Messianic faiths all mixed up together that became known as “Christianity” (a name that came out of “Chreston” – “Chrestos”) with a Messiah that had a totally foreign name, and certainly not a Hebrew one.
The Messiah’s Name is in fact identical as Joshua from the Tanach (Hebrew for the Old Covenant). “Joshua” in Hebrew is “Yahushua” and our beloved Saviour’s Name is also “Yahushua”! If you will check Strongs Concordance for Joshua’s name in the New Covenant you will find the following:
NT:2424: Iesous [ee-ay-sooce']; of Hebrew origin (although it is not of Hebrew but Greek) [OT:3091]; Jesus [i.e. Jehoshua], the name of our Lord and two [three] other Israelites: (bracket comment added by the author).
Of course there is no “J” in Hebrew and thus it is written as Jehoshua, but it should be written with a “Y” and the letter “u” not an “o” – Yahushua! You will find “Joshua” three times in the New Covenant; Lukas – Luke 3:29, Acts 7:45 and Hebrews 4:8 and each time it is “Iesous,” the same Greek name as our Redeemer.
But why is it that Joshua received a name that sounds so much like the original Hebrew? Yet, He who was given “the Name above every name” being the most important man who ever lived and walked the earth, who gave His perfect and spotless life for our sin, was given a completely foreign name that has no meaning whatsoever! But worse still, it has a close affiliation to a pagan name!
Thus we see how this new “Simonian Universal (Roman) Christianity” grew and slowly it added papal powers and later it has spawned many protestant harlot daughters and later even worse still countless counterfeit so-spirit filled churches (Pentecostals and hyper-Charismatic’s) that teach false doctrines and have many false prophets as well as those devilish TV evangelists that do great harm to the Saviour!
I am well aware that I may have already shocked you, but I can tell you that when I became aware of all of this, a great sadness hit me and I had to sit back and pray about it all.
However, the Word confirmed what I had come aware of and I have other studies that support certain sections that I am unable to go into full detail on this page, such as the complete story of that most evil of persons, named Simon Magnus, someone that many of you have never even heard about before commencing this study, but he was and still is Satan’s closest associate and he has influenced the “christian church” more that any man that ever lived, and I do mean by that any mortal man born in sin that has ever lived! Galatians:
I am sure considering what we have learnt earlier in relation to the words, “Rock,” Stone” the latter being “E’ben,” that you should find this part of the study rather revealing!
I find it rather tragic that it is more difficult for people to unlearn error than it is to discover and accept the truth, even though it can be clearly shown in the Word. It is so sad that most tend to hold onto the teaching of man, or as I call it “human tradition,” and yet when our Heavenly Father’s Word clearly shows otherwise they will rather go to their minister’s and ask for help, of course their minister has been well taught at their theological college on how to deal with any of these questions, and will thus somehow turn and twist it into whatever they have been doing for centuries and teach their own church doctrine, just as our blessed Messiah has warned us they would do:
“Beware of false prophets, who come to
you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You shall know
them by their fruits” Mattityahu - Matthew 7:15-16.
You may say; “But they are not prophets.” No they are not, although these days, many modern preachers do claim to be prophets, but the truth is that all true and faithful teachers in Messiah Yahushua are servants of the Almighty, and thus as servants, they fall in the greater category of the word. But, we do have to ask, what does the New Exhaustive Strong's Numbers and Concordance with Expanded Greek-Hebrew Dictionary say what the Greek word “prophet” really means?
KJV – Prophet: NT:4396 prophetes (prof-ay'-tace); from a compound of NT:4253: a foreteller, an inspired speaker; by extension, a poet:
Therefore, it does not just have to be an
anointed prophet of YHVH Elohim, it can also be anyone, a pastor, minister, teacher,
priest, and yes even that evil Simon Magnus was also a false prophet and an
evil man! However, all of these are not prophets, like those found in the
Tanach – Old Covenant and as Yahushua was the greatest of the all! The
true faith in Messiah Yahushua, and I do mean those in YAHUSHUA, are
inspired by YaHVaH Elohim, blessed be His Sanctified Name, to speak and inspire
others and bring them closer unto Him though His only begotten Son!
After his introduction, the first thing Shaul of Tarsus - Paul mentioned in his letter to the Galatians was.
Galatians 1:6-9:
“I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the grace of Messiah and are turning to a different Gospel, which is really no Gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the Gospel of Messiah. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a Gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned! As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a Gospel other than what you accepted, let him be eternally condemned!”
This topic is the subject matter throughout the book of Galatians, and there are similar warnings as we have seen above in the book of Mattityahu – Matthew for there would be wolves around preaching another Gospel! But considering the words written by Shaul – Paul a Jew of Jews who was obviously a learned man of the Word having been a Pharisee, there are some statements in this book, which we are to believe, were written by the Apostle Shaul - Paul.
However in this very book there are words and phrases that are simply not right, for they just do not fit the man Shaul of Tarsus! Once again, we must always apply those three principles as stated before, those three at the top of the page and make sure that whatever is said matches the rest of the Word, for if any of it contradicts any other part of the Word, then we should dispute it, for we need to remember that men had their way with the New Covenant and as I can see they seem to have had a field day with certain parts of Galatians, my question was who really wrote this for that does not sound like a Hebrew scholar, but a person of a far lesser intellect?
Now let me commence with question one, as we think about the real question that seems to take a great part of Galatians is this; should we, or should we not keep the law, but the real question is as follows: What is the Good News that our Messiah Yahushua Himself desires us to proclaim?
Does the true Gospel, the Good News mean that we receive salvation after we have been circumcised and kept the entire 613 of the Tanach – Old Covenant Law? Or does the true Gospel proclaim salvation through abolishing the entire Law that YaHVaH Elohim the Eternal Creator of Heaven and Earth and all that is therein, so that our sins are taken away? Or does the true Good News simply proclaim that we can receive forgiveness for transgressing His Law if we repent and believe in Yahushua, with nothing added?
Now I have really posed a few probabilities there and all of these have twists and turns, but they can certainly not be all correct! The truth was in fact so clearly described on Page One!
Now let us take a closer look at the
following in Chapter 2:1-2:
As we have just read, this chapter commences with Shaul describing his time in Jerusalem with his fellow labourer in the faith, Barnabas and Titus. They had gone to Jerusalem to discuss the matter of what the true Gospel was all about and what is needful for a person to receive salvation? I am rather surprised that this really needed to be discussed, for the one true leader, Shime’on ben Yochanan, today wrongly called peter, knew this very well and so should Shaul have known it! But there were some that were trouble makers about. Therefore the 15th chapter in the book of Acts discusses this visit to Jerusalem in detail.
Acts 15: 1-2:
Notice carefully that the reason this trip was necessary was due to certain men from Judea teaching the brethren that they would have no salvation unless they were first circumcised. When they brought this doctrine to the Apostles and elders in Jerusalem. The Apostle Shime’on referred to this erroneous theology as “putting on the necks of the Disciples a yoke that neither we nor our fathers have been able to bear.”
Acts 15:5-11:
Therefore Yahushua’s special Apostle Shime’on (E’ben) clearly states that all are redeemed through the gift (charitos) of Yahushua the Messiah. As is obvious by the statement, the question they were discussing is whether or not the Gentiles were saved through the grace of Yahushua the Messiah, or by circumcision and keeping the commandments. This was also the original question in Acts 15:1.
Shime’on said, “We believe it is through the gift (“charitos”) of our Master Yahushua that we are saved, just as they are.”
His point was that everyone, Hebrew or ex Gentile is saved by the precious gift of salvation given by Yahushua and not by circumcision. Even Hebrews who had been circumcised and kept the Law did not have salvation until they believed in Yahushua. He also said that to make circumcision or Law observance the requirement for salvation would be to “test Elohim.” But the question is how would it “test Elohim?”
The testing would be: “Can YaHVaH still bring the Gentiles into His “Little Flock” while making the (quite painful) painful act of adult circumcision, as a prerequisite to being saved?” In truth, there was not a man in all the generations of Israel who had ever kept the whole Torah Law, so to make the keeping all of the Torah Law a requirement before salvation was not the kind of “Good News” that Yahushua and the Apostles were teaching to the Hebrews or the Gentiles to become “One in the body!”
Therefore Shime’on, after detailing the proof that YaHVaH had accepted those who were once Gentiles, but were now faithful believers in their uncircumcised state (remember Cornelius received the Spirit in Acts chapter 10), affirmed that both Hebrews and past Gentiles are saved through the “charitos” of Yahushua the Messiah rather than circumcision or any other act of the Law. The ultimate decision in Acts 15 by Ya’akov - James was not to require circumcision for salvation.
Galatians 2:2-3:
Chronologically, the event that Shaul is describing marks the first notice of Titus in Scripture. Titus would eventually go on to be Shaul’s co-labourer and assistant in his ministry with the Corinthians and other places. Titus was among the group that went to Jerusalem and the Apostles in Jerusalem obviously had never asked him to be circumcised, but it was his own desire to do so, thus if one desires this, but not for salvation’s sake it is fine for Shaul never made an attempt to stop Titus!
Galatians 2:4-5:
Again, the emphasis is placed on the “truth of the Gospel” or the “Good News” being proclaimed rather than “Another Gospel.” In verse 4, Shaul - Paul identifies the “certain men from Judea” as “false brothers.” We also see they preferred to work in secret. Another attribute about them can be found in Galatians chapter 6.
Galatians 6:12-13:
As we have just read these “false brethren” were actually Law breakers themselves but they were more interested in circumcising Gentiles in order that they could go back to their Pharisees and tell them what they had achieved. The praise of men was most notable amongst the notable characteristics of certain Pharisees of that time For Yahushua Himself said the following;
“The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moshe’s seat. Therefore whatever they tell you to observe that observe and do, but do not do according to their works; for they say, and do not do. For they bind heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers. But all their works they do to be seen by men.” Mattityahu - Matthew 23:2-5a.
What Yahushua said about them continued to be true when Shaul - Paul wrote this letter to the Galatians. They wanted to throw the weight of having to get circumcised upon the necks of Gentiles before they would be accepted as having had salvation, and thus accepted into the fellowship and brotherhood of Messiah. This is not Yahushua’s yoke at all!
Now, let us add up all these elements to the list of notable characteristics:
They were from Judea. Acts 15:1.
They were a “sect of the Pharisees” Acts 15:5.
They claimed to be believers in Yahushua. Acts 15:5.
They believed that one cannot have salvation unless they were first
circumcised and keep all of the Torah/Law. Acts 15:1.
They were vigorous
in their belief to the point that they would argue with Shaul - Paul and
Barnabas over it, and even approach the apostles and elders about it. Acts
15:1,5.
They were reality
“false brothers.” Gal 2:4.
They liked to
sneak into the fellowships of true brethren to convert them to their own
“Gospel” understanding of how to receive salvation. Gal
2:4.
They did not even
keep the Law themselves. Gal 6:12-13.
They were
interested in circumcising the Gentiles believers so that they could receive
praise from other men. Gal 6:12-13.
Their sect had a history of being focused on “man
pleasing” and laying heavy burdens on people that they themselves
would not do. Mat. 23:4-5.
Thus we have learned that it was these Pharisaic “false brethren” who regarded it to be their duty to go to the Gentile believers in Yahushua and try to bring them over to “another gospel” that would have their very own way of receiving salvation. Somehow they were spreading “bad news” as they continued to pervert our Saviour Yahushua’s “Good News” with their evil doctrines.
With this understanding of what these “false brethren” were all about, let’s continue reading the Book of Galatians and chapter 2:
Problems arise in Galatians 2:6-10:
(for He who worked effectively in Peter (Shime’on) for the apostleship to the circumcised also worked effectively in me toward the Gentiles)
and when (1) Ya’akov - James, (2) Cephas and (3) Yochanan - John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that had been given to me, they gave me and Bar-Abbas - Barnabas the right hand of fellowship, that we should go to the Gentiles and they to the circumcised. They desired only that we should remember the poor, the very thing which I also was eager to do.” Galatians 2:6-10. Note: The numbers (1,2 & 3) were added by the author.
PS: Most versions, as well as the Greek shows verse 8 (on a separate line and in BOLD) as well as being fully enclosed in brackets as shown in the Scripture above, which means that it may well have been either an after thought by the apostle, or it may well have been added at a much later date by an unknown source?
We know for a fact that in the Brit Chadashah – the New Covenant there were quite a good number of additions and alterations that were made to the writings and some of these were sadly very poorly done, others are just anti Jewish to the extreme, then there are those that are even heretical and these were mostly added by the early pagan Universal Roman new religion to suit their own new doctrinal needs!
But as we have learned, Shaul – Paul tells the Galatians that the Apostles and elders added nothing to the “Good News” that he had been proclaiming to the Gentiles. In fact, they had agreed to have Shaul and Barnabas go to the Gentiles whilst Shime’on (called Peter by the church) went to the Hebrews. However, it is claimed that Shaul then reports that this person named “Cephas and Barnabas” got caught up in a form of hypocrisy, but for some strange reason in your version of the “Bible” will show that this was not the same person for if closely check the KJV/NKJV or the Greek Interlinear, you will notice the differences, for then it read: “when (1) Ya’akov - James, (2) Cephas and (3) Yochanan - John, who seemed to be pillars.”
It is vital that we note that Shaul speaks of Shime’on (known as Peter) in Chapter 2 prior to verse 9 in the Greek as Petros translated as Peter, we also know that a person named Cephas is mentioned in verse 9 and thereafter, but this is and cannot be one and the same person as Petros, for considering that Shaul being a learned man and who spoke at least four languages, would not suddenly change names from one sentence to the very next. No that would be utter nonsense and ridiculous even to insinuate!
However, the translated Bibles are so confused, for even in the KJV/NKJV when they used the name Cephas in verse 9, yet when we come to verse 11, why then do they use the name “Peter” there, for it is still Cephas in the Greek Scripture? Let us read what it has to say.
“Now when Cephas (Peter in most translations) had come to Antioch, I withstood him to his face, because he was to be blamed; for before certain men came from Ya’akov - James, he would eat with the Gentiles; but when they came, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing those who were of the circumcision. And the rest of the Jews also played the hypocrite with him, so that even Bar-Abbas - Barnabas was carried away with their hypocrisy. But when I saw that they were not straightforward about the truth of the gospel, I said to Cephas before them all, ‘If you, being a Hebrew, live in the manner of Gentiles and not as the Hebrews, why do you compel Gentiles to live as Hebrews?’” Galatians 2:11-14.
Let us first look at the issue and then we will tackle again the personage!
Why was it so hypocritical for them to go to the Hebrews? And why was Shaul so bold to rebuke this person who was named Cephas who had come obviously with Yochanan and Barnabas? We noted that Paul had spoken about Shime’on – Peter (Petros) in verse 8 and in verse 9 Shaul had spoken about this other person Cephas.
We should first ask ourselves, who is this person? For surely this cannot possibly be Shime’on ben Yochanan, who Yahushua and he is generally known in the churches as Peter (Petros) the most beloved Apostle who walked with Yahushua for just over three years of His blessed ministry and was given the command to continue His work and was very much the senior of the Apostles having been given the title “E’ben” - “the Stone”! Considering that Shaul was his junior, he would not have dared to come against the anointed leader as it seems to appear in verse 11?
But, I believe with all my heart and soul that our beloved Shaul of Tarsus, Paul did not do this evil thing against Shime’on (E’ben) - (Petros), but he may have spoken to that person “Cephas” who Shaul stated to be part of a group that was a “pillar” of faith in verse 9, but as I said earlier, who ever translated these words, were not very well educated, and could not have understood the Word very well, as it is obviously very confusing and also very wrong as we are speaking of two very different people!
The Apostles had just been to the council in Acts 15 and they had all come to Antioch to deliver the decision to the brethren (Acts 15:30-35). When all together at the council, Shime’on (Petros in the churches Bible) and Barnabas both stood with Shaul and agreed with the Good News they had been proclaiming. So for both of them to withdraw from keeping company with the Gentiles was quite hypocritical. They were standing with the truth that Gentiles were to be accepted into the brotherhood and having salvation in Acts 15, but in practice they were withdrawing and separating themselves from them out of concern for what those of "the circumcision" might say or do.
Comment: Shaul himself stated just a few verses earlier “that Elohim was at work in the ministry of Shime’on (called Peter) as an Apostle to the Judeans (Jews).” Verse 8.
Thus, would it not be feasible and most reasonable that Shime’on (Petros) and his assistants would be automatically spending his, their time with Hebrew believers, whilst Shaul - Paul being, 1. In his area, and 2. As he himself proclaims being the apostle to the Gentiles, chose to spending time together with his assistants with the Gentile believers? As time was limited, it would seem rather logical. The point is this, if Shaul – Paul had wished for Shime’on (Petros) and Shaul as well as the entire community have a combined meeting, and considering that Shaul was in charge in this region, he or his assistants should have arranged something and then all this would not have happened. Therefore, we could clearly say that this whole event was Shaul’s fault and in fact he was out of order! But, Shime’on (Petros) was not the person in question anyway, it was Cephas the person mentioned in verse 9!
I firmly believe that there was some foul play here, for the ultimate hatred for the Hebrews (Jews) came out of Samaria by that evil person named Simon the Sorcerer, who went to Rome and established a new faith, one that was and evil mixture of Babylonian, Egyptian, Greek and yes bits and pieces from Messiah Yahushua, but he completely altered most of the details. He became the first bishop of Rome and a statue was erected to him.
Due to this person who hated Shime’on Petros (called Peter), he
became known as Simon Peter and in due course it became assumed that he was the
apostle himself, but, the actual Apostle that had walked with our beloved
Messiah never set a foot in Rome as the Word so clearly confirms! Amongst the
Romans and Greeks there was a massive hatred for the Jews and the Romans did
everything in their power to take “THE JEW out of their Church” and
soon they came up with such slogans, as “The Jews killed Christ.”
And “The Jews rejected their Christ.” And many further accusations.
All these commenced a murderous hunt over the centuries, and they ensured that
the “Scriptures” or the newly translated and I believe altered
Greek New Covenant would give it extra power!
Those anti-Semitic points have been carried throughout the ages and tragically they remain to this very day, which is simply evil and part of Satan’s plan! But let us look at the truth and ask the question; “Did the Judeans (Jews) reject their Messiah and Saviour or not?” I will provide you with a twofold answer that is completely Scripturally correct!
1: NO, the faithful of Israel did NOT reject their blessed Messiah Yahushua, for they followed Him during His ministry and wept when He died! They continued to believe for they knew that He had been resurrected and had been taken up to be back with the Father! These Judean and Israeli Hebrews remained faithful as was recorded for well over 400 years. Thus, if the Jews had rejected the Saviour, how is it the Apostles, who were all Jews continued to be faithful and wrote the Gospels? Thus the evil and Satanic statements that is continuously made in just about all churches to this very day – “The Jews rejected Christ” is wrong and evil, for it does not make it clear that it was not all Jews that rejected Him but only the unfaithful ones, but they say “The Jews,” which is like saying “all Jews.”
2: However the secular Hebrews, the sinners of the land and that included the corrupt priesthood and the hierarchy, they obviously would have nothing to do with Yahushua, who spoke of love your enemy, for people were only interested in a leader who could lead a strong army and fight the oppressor, the Romans, and restore the land back to them! They did not need a saviour of the soul for they were not religious, they were fleshly, just like Israel of today, which at large is a sinful nation and YHVH Elohim is certainly not happy with these people! Let me tell you something very powerful, the Israel today is not the restored Israel that is the one spoken of in the Tenach – Old Covenant, for there it has one further detail, for they shall know My Name and they shall declare it, and beloved, they do not know it, yet, some who are in Yahushua do know it, and it is YaHVaH, blessed be His Sanctified Name!
Thus, we have now learned that the church is teaching a lie, for Judea and Israel (the Jews) did not all reject Yahushua the Messiah our blessed Saviour! Will you please point this out to your minister, pastor, teacher or priest, and if they insists that the Jews did reject Him, please leave or you will finally know for sure that you are consorting in the house of Satan!
It is well known by the vast majority of theologians that Simon Magnus was the person who created the term that we know today as “Christian” and “Christ.” We need to remember that the faithful in Messiah Yahushua did not have any official name at that time, for they simply considered themselves as followers, or the faithful in the Messiah of Israel, or as Messianic believers (using our modern terminology), regardless if they had come out of the Hebraic or Gentile communities, but are now ONE in Messiah! The question begs, how did Simon come up with his terminology – “Christ” and “Christian/s?”
“And in all that I have said to you, beware
and make no mention of the name of other gods, nor let it be heard from your
mouth.”
Let us commence with Messiah – Christos!
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with Elohim, and the Word was Elohim. He was with Elohim in the beginning. Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made.” Yochanan - John 1:1-3.
Thus we are speaking of He who is not just the Word, but also was, is and always will be Elohim! This is our Saviour who came to earth as a man and taught the Word then He gave His life as the Passover Lamb in order that all who believe, repent and follow His ways and commandments will have life eternal in the “Kingdom of Elohim.”
“Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.” Mattityahu - Matthew 5:5.
But what of that word “Christ”? Originally all the Greek faithful used the word “Messias” being a transliteration of the original Gospels, which were of course written in Hebrew – “Mashiach,” and we have absolute proof of that in another study. But soon it became “Christos,” which is a newly created word. The Hebrew as we may know is; “Ha Mashiach” that means “the Anointed” or “the Messiah.” However, where did the word “Christos” came from? I am afraid you may be terribly shocked to learn about its origin!
There is an ancient Christian inscription in existence that goes back to October 1, 318 A.D. and it states: “The Lord and Saviour Jesus the Good.” Now interestingly it is the word “Good” that is in question here and very soon you will understand why.
When it came to presenting details, such as names and titles of a new Roman and Greek faith it would be far more acceptable to the Greek and Roman pagans who were worshiping their many deities, to entice them into a new faith using a name that they were familiar with. Therefore, rather than retaining the original Hebrew Mashiach or Messias it was decided to use the name of the pagan god’s named “Chreston” - “Chrestos.” Now why should that not surprise us?
According to the Interpreter’s “Dictionary of the Bible,” the word “Christos” was easily confused with the common Greek proper name “Chrestos,” meaning “Good.” According to a French theological dictionary, it is absolutely beyond doubt that “Christus” and “Chrestus,” and “Christiani” as well as “Chrestiani” were used indifferently by the profane and various Christian authors of the first two centuries A.D. It is known that the word was originally introduced by Simon (the sorcerer) Magnus who became the Bishop of Rome, the man who commenced this new faith, being a pagan based, mixed loosely with Messianic details, and he is the genuine founder of the Church of Rome.
Chrestos was a highly worshipped Egyptian, Greek and Roman god that had the full name of “Serapis Chrestos” who soon became known in Rome as “Christianos.” The word “Christianos” is a Latinism that the Messianic faithful refused to use, as they would always use the words - “Messias”, “Messiah” or “Mashiach” as we do to this day! As the new words came into the church of Rome and were introduced by this evil man, who was clearly spoken of in the Book of Acts, means that the two word’s known today as “Christian” and our beloved Messiah and Saviour as a pagan god by the name of “Christ,” both sadly originating from a pagan origin as shown.
According to the “Real-encyclopaedia,” the inscription “Chrestos is to be seen on a Mithras relief in the Vatican,” which does provides us with further proof that it was Simon Magnus who introduced it, for it is officially recorded that Simon was the person who coined the word “Christian.” According to ‘Christianity and Mythology,’ Osiris the sun-deity of Egypt was also revered by the name, “Chrestos!” However, there is just one more interesting fact, “Chrestos” was also known as “the judge of Hades or the lower world.” Thus in the ancient day’s he was the sun, and later he became the judge of Hades, the grave! How tragic a world we are looking at!
Let us look at a few passages from the blessed Word of YaHVaH Elohim, blessed be His Sanctified Name!
“And in all that I have said to you, beware and make no mention of the name of other gods, nor let it be heard from your mouth.” Shemos - Exodus 23:13.
“You shall not take the Name of YHVH your Elohim in vain, for YHVH will not hold him guiltless who takes His Name in vain.” Shemos – Exodus 20:7
“Little children,” urges Yochanan - John, “keep yourselves from idols” 1 Yochanan - 1 John 5:21.
“Whoever blasphemes the Name of YHVH shall surely be put to death.” Vayikra - Leviticus 24:16.
Therefore, all I can say, if you have read this page in full, and you reject the blessed Name of Yahushua, and continue to use words that are directly related to those evil pagan gods of the sun down to the depths of hell – “Chreston” and “Chrestos,” BEWARE for our Heavenly Father must do what He said He has to do! Repent and “Return again to Him, and He WILL RETURN again to you!”
There is GREAT POWER in His WORDS!
Thus the Word of our beloved Creator is very clear indeed; never mention any names of other gods for you are blaspheming the Creator and true Messiah who gave His life for you, and yet IF you are calling Messiah by a name of a pagan god of hell and death! I weep, for YOU and the countless millions are doing just that, although many do it unknowingly.
I pray that all those who have been deceived will come out of the harlot church of Satan and enter the faithful fellowship of the “Little Flock” in Yahushua THE Messiah!
