Foreword to the Feasts of
YHVH
“Speak unto the Children of Israel, and say unto them, the appointed feasts of YHVH, that you proclaim, as sanctified convocations, these: they are My appointed feasts.” Vayikra - Leviticus 23:2.
In this series of
“The Prophetic Feasts of YHVH”, we will examine and evaluate the
wonderful revelations that
It is my sincere desire to share with you the wonderful prophetic picture that YaHVaH our Elohim, blessed be His Sanctified Name, has given us in these “appointed feasts.” May the fullness found within these studies have a powerful impact on your life and your walk in Elohim and our beloved Messiah Yahushua, our blessed Master and Saviour who gave His life freely and rose again in order that all who would Believe, Repent and follow His Commandments would have Life everlasting in the Kingdom of Elohim! Praise His Name!
“If you keep
My commandments, you will abide in My love,
just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.”

In order to understand the beauty of the Word of Elohim, I believe it is profitable for us to first view the Word and the feasts for that matter standing a little from at a distance. Think of it this way, it is very much in the same manner the way we might look at a bridge. It is only when we stand on shore side that are we able to see the entire structure, thus its full grandeur and its beauty.
From afar we are able to observe and understand how that beautifully constructed bridge reaches from one side of the river to the other, without it collapsing into the river. But as we walk on the Bridge, we discover how it was built as we behold the countless of steel girders and observe how they are all connected one to another. Every girder, beam and rivet is essential to the bridge for it gives this massive and vital structure its strength, keeping it all together as one unified piece of construction. This intricate construction makes it strong and able to stand against the ravages of nature, just as it is with the Word of Elohim!
Beloved, each book,
chapter, verse and every single word in our blessed Scriptures is so
beautifully connected and it has stood the test of time, especially against the
ravages of HaSatan –
Therefore, it is most important for us to understand the overall picture of what our Heavenly Father is saying to us in His Word and especially when it comes to His “appointed feasts” for they, like the Sabbath are there for a special and future prophetic reason! In our studies we will look into the details and we will discover how the prophetic details interwoven in each of these feasts, revealing Elohim’s plan of redemption, salvation both for Israel and Gentiles, salvation for all who accept Yahushua as their Messiah and Saviour. Then, those saved in Him become, as the Word states, “ONE in the Body, neither Jew nor Greek.” For Yahushua is our Bridge of reconciliation!
“Therefore
remember that you, once Gentiles in the flesh who are called un-circumcision by
what is called the circumcision made in the flesh by hands, that at that time
you were without the Messiah, being aliens from the
YaHVaH gave
These will be details that affect our lives and our understanding of His precious Word! Most of us know that these Feasts are so often called, “The Feasts of Israel,” and it could be assumed that it is the Children of Israel who are to “proclaim them” at “their appointed times.” However, it is vital for us to understand that these feasts were in fact called in the Word “The Appointed Feasts of YHVH.” Vayikra - Leviticus 23:4.
After sharing the
feasts at a meeting somewhere I had been invited, someone asked me, “Why
should we study the feasts of
Beloved, we should study all of the Word of Elohim for He reveals Himself through His Word and in the details of His “appointed feasts”. Yes, the very feasts He gave Israel to keep and as we know Messiah Yahushua and His Apostle also kept them and we the “Little Flock” of the faithful in Messiah Yahushua also celebrate them each year as we remember Yahushua’s death and His resurrection, for “the Messiah, our Passover, was sacrificed for us!” 1 Corinthians 5:7.
The Word of Elohim states …
“All Scripture is given by inspiration
of Elohim and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for
instruction in righteousness” 2 Timotheos -
For this sound reason, we should study both the Tanach being Hebrew for the Old Covenant and the Brit Chadashah, Hebrew the New Covenant, especially details regarding the blessed feasts, for each feast is about our Saviour Yahushua, and is thus full of blessed “instruction.”
“Yes, if you cry out for discernment
and lift up your voice for understanding. If you seek her as silver and search
for her as for hidden treasures. Then you will understand the fear of YHVH and
find the knowledge of Elohim”
“Then Yahushua said to the
Judean’s who believed Him, ‘If you
abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.”
Yochanan -
Every detail of the feasts reveals YaHVaH’s ongoing plan of salvation for a sinful world. The feasts prophetically speak of our Saviour Yahushua, His death and His resurrection, the “filling of the Spirit of Elohim,” the age of the faithful. It also accounts for the “Great Tribulation - the Second Coming, - the Millennium reign of Yahushua,” and finally the arrival of a “New Heaven and a New Earth.” Beloved, Elohim’s plan with man is revealed in each of the Feasts of YaHVaH!
Praise YaHVaH our Elohim for His Word, as we begin to study “The Appointed Feasts of YaHVaH.”
Introduction
“These are the feasts (d[emo - mo’ed) of YHVH, Sanctified convocations which you shall proclaim at their appointed – Mo’ed d[em)o times” Vayikra - Leviticus 23:4.
As we commence
exploring the Feasts, let us first look at the word “feasts.”
In the Hebrew, the word for “feasts” is “mo'ed,”
which is the same word for “appointed times” or “seasons.”
Each of the feasts, according to the Word, are to be “proclaimed”
at the “appointed times.” The “appointed times”
in this case relates to
“Three times a year all your males shall appear before YHVH your Elohim in the place which He chooses; at the feast of Unleavened Bread, the feast of Weeks, the feast of Tabernacles. And they shall not appear before YHVH empty-handed. Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of YHVH your Elohim which He has given you” Devarim - Deuteronomy 16:16-17.
It is interesting to
note that Elohim blessed be He, gave
The feasts are arranged in three separate
blocks.
The Feast of Unleavened Bread - Hag HaMazot: It contains three separate events – 1. Passover, remembering the killing of the Passover Lamb 2. Unleavened Bread. 2. Firstfruits, wave offering held on the first day of the week within the seven days of HaMazot. (8 days)
The Feast of Weeks - Shavuot: Here there is just one feast – Shavuos incorrectly called Pentecost (1 Day).
The Feast Tabernacles - Sukkot: Like the first feast there are three feasts – 1. Rosh Hashanah or the Blowing of the Trumpets. 2. Yom Kippur or the Day of Atonement. 3. Succoth, being the feast of Tabernacles or Booths.
Thus beloved, in the very number and the arrangements of the feasts we can see a significant picture. It contains a profound message, especially as we think of the blessed meanings of the numbers 1, 3 & 7 in the Scriptures.
“And YHVH spoke to Moshe -
Elohim in His Word gave us a document of instruction and a letter of love. In simplicity, His message, through His Messiah is …
“Come to Me, all you who labour and are
heavy laden and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me,
for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For
My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Mattityahu -
“Come to Me, be Mine” is the call throughout the Scriptures. Unto those who have transgressed and are living in sin, Elohim’s call is, “‘Return to Me’ says YHVH of hosts ‘and I will return to you’ says YHVH of host” Zecharyah – Zechariah 3:1. The Word of Elohim is full of hope, full of blessing unto all who will heed to it.
As we continue this study
on the feasts, we should understand that the Scriptural year consisted of 360
days, being 12 months of 30 days each. There are many Scriptures confirming
this, including Genesis 7:11 & 24, 8:3 & 4, speaking of
The Jewish calendar now in use has undergone some adjustment, to keep it in alignment with the solar year, thus keeping the feast of Passover precisely at the equinox. It should also be noted that the Scriptural day begins at sunset around 6 p.m., or at the appearance of the first evening star. As the Scripture states, “And the evening and the morning were the first day” (Bereshis - Genesis 1:5). As example, the 7th.day, the Sabbath, commences on Friday evening between 5 and at 6 p.m., depending on the season.
Please keep this in mind as we study “the Feasts of YHVH Elohim,” (the LORD our God)!

Yahushua said; “No one can come to Me unless the Father who
sent Me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day. It is written in
the Prophets: They will all be taught by Elohim. Everyone who listens to the
