“On the fifteenth day of this seventh month is the Festival of Booths for seven days to YHVH. On the first day is a sanctified assembly, you do no servile work. For seven days you will bring an offering made by fire to YHVH. On the eighth day there shall be a sanctified gathering for you, and you shall bring an offering made by fire to YHVH, it is a sacred assembly, you shall do no servile work.” Vayikra - Leviticus 23:34-36.

This feast is also known as the “Feast
of In-gathering” in Shemos - Exodus 23:16. It is blessed picture of
the Scriptural Harvest! Sukkot as I have stated in an earlier study, is the

However, the final Feast of the Feast cycle is part of the prophetic plan of Elohim, pointing to the completion of His wonderful plan of Salvation, preparing for the time the faithful in Yahushua to enter into the great Sabbath!
Seven as we have also learned is YaHVaH’s number of completion. It points to the completion and perfection of the sacrifice of our blessed Saviour and Messiah Yahushua.
Beloved, the very mention of Sukkot brings to
the Hebrew/Jewish mind a festival and a celebration of the most joyous
proportions that goes far beyond any of the previous feasts. In fact, you
really have to be a Hebrew to fully appreciate the full extent of joy,
contentment and security that comes at the very thought of this happy and most
satisfying of the Feasts that
I pray that the faithful in Messiah may have
that kind of joy and obtain the understanding regarding this feast having

HalleluYah,
Beloved, I rejoice when I celebrated Sukkot

Thus what does this most blessed of the feasts mean?
Sukkot - Vayikra - Leviticus 23:33-36, is a seven-day feast that prophetically represents the Millennium Reign of Yahushua and His faithful on the earth.
“And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Yahushua and for the word of Elohim, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with the Messiah for a thousand years. But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and sanctified is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of Elohim and of the Messiah, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.” Revelation 20:4-6.
“Ye shall dwell in Sukkah for a seven
day period; every native in
If possible, the Sukkah should be a temporary
structure, thus reminding

This is why
Vayikra - Leviticus 23:40 states …
1… The “Lulav,”
is a long (young) branch of a Date Palm.
The “Lulav” held during the reading of the blessed “Hoshiah” verse of Tehillim - Psalm 118:25.
We might ask, “What is the symbolism of the - palm, willow, citron, and the myrtle?”
1… “Lulav” – the palm is symbolic of “Victory” and the “Spine.”
The “Etrog” is held in the left hand, and the branches in the right hand.
You may ask, “Is there a relationship between the Lulav and the faithful in Messiah?”
Here is the significance of the “four species” and their symbolism to the faithful in Yahushua?
1… “Lulav” – the palm. Beloved, we finally had the fortitude (the Spine) and the “Victory” on the day we
accepted Yahushua as our Messiah.
The Greek word for “tabernacle” or “Booth” is “Skene” meaning “a tent.”
Messiah Yahushua, when He was with us, He
camped in our midst, and as the Word states, “the Word was made
flesh (YaHVaH’s prophecy fulfilled) and dwelt (or camped, or
Tabernacled) among us” (Yochanan -
It is important to note that the Sukkah is a temporary structure, pointing that the faithful dwelling during the Millennium age will also be only temporary, for it is a picture of that which is yet to come thereafter.
In
Each morning a water libation (which came from the pool of Siloam) was offered unto YHVH as a visual prayer for rain. Scripture shows us that water is the source of life and of blessing.
In Messiah, water is a symbol of the faithful being filled with the Spirit of YHVH Elohim … Yochanan - John 7:37-38.
“On the last and greatest day of the Feast (of Sukkot), Yahushua stood and said in a loud voice, ‘If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. Whoever believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him.’”
In addition, there was another joyful
celebration during Sukkot and that was the lighting of the
The light and fire reminds us of the Almighty and the Shechinah glory!
The faithful should be full of Elohim’s *light, for His light and His love should radiate from us unto the world. As Yochanan - John 8:12 states
“When Yahushua spoke again to the people, He said, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.’”
*What did the word light mean in this case, and what was Messiah telling us in Yochanan - John 8?
The greatest light from Elohim is His Word,
for only through His Word of truth can His light come into our lives. When we are filled by His Word, live in His Word, share His Word,
we truly live in His light, and radiate His light unto others! Yahushua, who
taught the truth amongst those who had drowned themselves in tradition, clearly
affirmed this, His teachings came directly from His Father, which is light,
thus He was a light shining brightly in the darkness that surrounded Him.
All who followed the teachings from His Father would “never walk in
darkness, but will have the light of life,” the light that emanated
from the Father.
As we know, Sukkot is a seven-day Feast,
however, praise be to YaHVaH our Elohim, He added one additional and a very
special day at the end of Sukkot, that is called “Shemini
Atzeret or the eighth day.” Beloved, this day has an enormous meaning
to every single believer in Messiah Yahushua, but also to all the
non-believers, and thus it is of great prophetical significance!
“Pesach - Passover,” this was the day that the Lamb without spot and blemish was killed, next came “HaMatzot” or the Feast of Unleavened Bread, followed by the 3rd.feast, “Reshit Katzir or Bikkurim” being “Firstfruits” and these three combined are made up as follows.
Passover is a one-day event and this is followed by the Seven Day Feast of “Unleavened Bread.” However during the feast of Unleavened Bread period is the one day feast of “Firstfruits.” Thus these three feasts add up to eight significant days that really matter here, Day 1 the death (the Lamb), Perfection (without spot and blemish) and Resurrection (raised from the dead)! Thus there was 1 day for Passover and 7 days for Unleavened Bread making a total of 8 Days! Now note the significance of the order 1 + 7 = 8, as I will return to this subject!
In
In Hebrew the eighth letter is “Ches” - which also happens to be the number eight. Eight, Scripturally means “a new beginning” and “life,” which in Hebrew is “Chai.” Read the Passover study for some amazing teaching re this number and letter!
These eight days represents Messiah’s presence on earth. He who was without spot and blemish died for us, and rose from the dead in order that our sins may be forgiven, washed clean by the shed blood of the Lamb, and given us the precious hope of a “new beginning” and “eternal life!”
After these eight days, incorporating the first three appointed feasts of YaHVaH, there are three 1 day Feasts, which are “Shavout” - “Feast of Weeks”, then a longer break comes the next 1 day Feast, “Yom T’Ruach” – “Blowing of the Shofar,” eight days later by the 1 day Feast of “Yom Kippur” the “Day of Atonement.” Thus all these Feasts are celebrated on a single day and all are Sabbaths!
However, praise be to
However, Sukkot also has great similarity to Passover and Unleavened Bread, due to it being made an eight day feast of two sections, a single day and a seven day period, but what is the big difference and what does it all mean?
Sukkot, unlike Passover/Unleavened Bread commences with a seven-day Feast before it concludes with a single day, making a total of eight days. And as we will recall, Passover commences with a one-day event, and concludes with the seven-day Unleavened Bread!
This number once again represents the presence of Yahushua here on the earth, but this time, beloved during the millennium reign and what else?
Through one man,
The eighth day as recorded in Vayikra -
Leviticus 23:39, is called “
On this and the next day,
But beloved, for the faithful in Messiah Yahushua the eighth day prophetically has a far greater message for it speaks about the conclusion of the Millennium Reign on the earth, with the enemy having been released towards the end and turmoil once again having reigned and Messiah having been victorious and it heralds the arrival of the “New Heaven and the New Earth.” For the Word will finally be completely fulfilled! For we know that then the faithful in Messiah Yahushua will inherit the New Heaven and the New Earth, with a new and glorious Jerusalem! It will be the conclusion of Elohim’s great plan of Salvation. It will be a time of great rejoicing. HalleluYah.
“Now I saw a New Heaven and a New Earth,
for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also, there was no
more sea. Then I, Yochanan -
Yes,
Heaven. The words, “the first heaven and the first earth had passed away” does not mean that the heaven and the earth will be completely be eradicated. No, after the “day of Ingathering,” when Elohim gathers His people unto Himself, removing the wicked forever, both the heavens and the earth will be fully restored to what it was at the time of creation, as Adam (man) and Chavah (Eve – life giver) knew the world. Wonderfully, the heaven will once again provide its moisture as dew during the night, for it will never rain again, as rain was originally a judgement of sin. The climate will be perfect in every way.
Earth. The earth will be fully restored, together with the removal of all-evil, and all sin. Elohim will provide lush vegetation throughout the new earth, with a vast variety of vegetation upon the earth. The seas will also return to what it was, as all water upon earth will once again be like spring water, for the seas became bitter only after the great flood, as the Scriptures show.
Yerushalayim. “Yochanan -
The faithful have been shown Elohim’s
promise of our future in both the Feast of the Blowing of the Shofar, when we
shall be “caught up” and meet Messiah “in the air,” and
the second coming of Yahushua with us, His saints. At that time, the righteous

It is important to note that Sukkot occurs immediately AFTER the harvest as stated in Vayikra - Leviticus 23:39.
“So beginning with the fifteenth day of the seventh month, after you have harvested the crops of the land, celebrate the festival to YHVH for seven days; the first day is a day of rest.”
This Scripture also describes that Sukkot is the time of harvest. Prophetically, those who are part of the goodly harvest (the wheat) shall reign with Messiah. Those who have come to know Messiah during the Tribulation, will enter the Millennium, and will continue to live on, but with an extended life span, for the Word teaches that babies continue to be born.
Those of
“So it shall be in that day: The great Shofar will be blown; They will come, who are about to perish in the land of Assyria, and they who are outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall worship YHVH in the Sanctified mount at Yerushalayim - Jerusalem.”
“‘The Redeemer will come to Sion -
Thus, only those, who were caught up in the air at the blowing of “the Shofar of Elohim,” (1 Thessalonians 4:16) shall reign with Messiah on the earth in new eternal bodies during the Millennium.
Having spoken of a harvest, it must be noted that the “Great Harvest” will occur at the completion of the Millennium, at the time of the “Great Judgement Seat.”
The Hebrew Scriptures (the Tanach) often
speaks of the final judgment as the time of the “Great Harvest”
(Hosea 6:11; Yoel -
The faithful in Messiah should Scripturally keep all the blessed Feasts of YHVH Elohim, blessed be His Sanctified Name, according to His Word. Each Feast glorifies the Father, giving understanding of His plan of salvation, which has come through Yahushua the Messiah.
Beloved, we are living in a vital time as we observe the evils of the world around us.
Yahushua’s return for His Bride is
imminent. Elohim has given us clear signs, such as the Children of Israel being

Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door. I tell you the truth this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away.”

In Hebrew, the words “Generation to come” is “Le'Dor Acharon” which literally means “the Last Generation.”
It is for that very reason the faithful in Messiah Yahushua must teach the blessed truth regarding the Word of YaHVaH Elohim and His Messiah to the world, both to Hebrews and Gentiles, but also to those in the churches who need the truth of Elohim’s Word, for we are living in the closing stages of the “last generation,” before Yahushua comes for His Bride.
Beloved, I pray that you will have gained much

Soon Yahushua our beloved Messiah will come, for only He can bring true peace, and pour His balm into the hearts of all who desire His comfort and assurance.
Thus as you “Pray (or enquire about) for the Shalom of Jerusalem” (Tehillim - Psalm 122:6), you are praying for individual Hebrew lives to receive Yahushua as their Messiah.
