-Please Read this FIRST- On this site we prefer to use the actual Name of our loving Heavenly Father as it was written in the Word, and thus you will note that we will use the Four Letter “Memorial Name” of   - YHVH, which is pronounced as YaHVaH or YaHWaH. In addition we will also use our Heavenly Father’s attribute/title, which is Elohim rather than “God,” which sadly is the name of a pagan god. In addition we also love to use the actual and real Name of our beloved Messiah which is  - Yahushua or Yahshua in short, for this is our Saviours original Hebrew Name as given to Him at birth in Lukas - Luke 1:31. This was the only Name ever used when He was on the earth by His family, disciples and His followers OVER THE centuries, even until today! However, it was changed to a foreign name by the founder of the new “pagan church of Rome.” Occasionally, we may also use other Hebrew or Greek names as well as different words in our studies for certain common words used are from pagan backgrounds and thus are not suitable. All names will be translated when they are FIRST used in a study or at various times as needed for clarity. There is a full explanation of YHVH’s blessed “Memorial Name” as well as the wonderful blessed Name of our Messiah and Saviour, thus please read …The Memorial Name.”

The Prophetic Feasts of YHVH

With the Ministries Elder & Teacher

Pesach - Passover

“On the fourteenth day of the first month at twilight is YHVH’s Passover”
Vayikra - Leviticus 23:5

The Passover is the feast of redemption and it is observed by Israel every year in the common calendar around March and/or April as the Hebrew - Scriptural calendar on the other hand, maintains both the lunar and solar relationship and it therefore adjusts in order to ensure that the Passover Meal is held precisely on that very first night when the “angel passed over!”

This is the Feast that speaks of the time when the mighty hand of YaHVaH Elohim (the LORD God) delivered Israel from slavery out of Egypt, which was accomplished through the mighty hand of Elohim and the ten tragic Plagues and the final one that required a “lamb without spot and blemish” that had to be slain!

For the faithful in Messiah Yahushua this Passover Lamb and the deliverance of the Children of Israel prophetically speaks about the deliverance from bondage and from sin, which was accomplished around 29 AD when He, who Yochanan (John) the Immerser called “Hinei HaSeh Elohim” – “the Lamb of Elohim” (Yochanan – John 1:29 & 36), laid down His life for all who believed and accepted Him as their Messiah and repented of their sins.

As we know from the Word it was the Hebrews (the Judeans) who did so first, for we must never forget that ALL the first believers were all Hebrews and only much latter were added unto them those who came out from the Gentiles who had come into faith of Messiah through the teaching of the Hebrew Apostles and other Hebrew believers and as the Scriptures so clearly show us, and praise be to Yahushua, they became “One in the Body of Messiah,” for in Him there would be “NO Jew nor Greek” (Gentile)! Thank You Father for this great blessing and revelation! Read Ephesians chapter 2.

*A note: It is often heard in churches and it is said by far too many priests and pastors in the majority of denominations, and it originates from a hideous Roman lie that “The Jews rejected Christ.”

Beloved, a true believer should know that this is Satan’s doing and it had its source in Romanism. Remember that the faithful of Israel believed, just like those who are faithful in Messiah in our nation that also believes, yet sadly they are but too few! But, those who lived in sin in Israel obviously rejected Him and that included the hierarchy, the so-called priesthood, which at large was corrupt! Thus, if you hear it said at your fellowship, you just lovingly correct your teacher with the Scriptural truth, for did not the very Hebraic Apostles write the New Covenant, and yes both Lukas - Luke and Shaul - Paul were both Hebrews, although they also had dual citizenships for convenience, which was not unusual. In addition, Shaul (Paul) of Tarsus was as we know from the Word, a Pharisee, yet had Roman papers. But all the Apostles were Israelites to the core, yet to this day church leaders will continue to tell the same convenient Roman Catholic - Satanic lie!

The Historical Aspect of Passover

This feast is based on YaHVaH Elohim’s call to bring to the home a lamb without spot and blemish and keep it there for four days, then at around 3 pm of the 14th.it was killed and prepared in the prescribed manner. The lamb would be eaten that night, on the 15th.of Nisan the very night that the angel of YaHVaH passed over the land of Egypt and the blood of the lamb had been painted by the faithful of Israel on the “doorposts and lintels” and thus they were fully “covered” from what was about to happen throughout the land of Egypt that night!

How had all this come about?

This event occurred before the Children of Israel departed from their bondage under the leadership of Elohim’s appointed man, Moshe - Moses.

The original Passover day was later known as the “Day of Preparation,” as a male lamb “without spot or blemish” was “prepared and killed” around 3 pm on the 14th.and it was cooked and eaten later to be ready for that night on 15th. Please Note: At the time of the original Passover it had obviously not as yet been declared either a feast or a Sabbath, for this would not happen until the commandment was given at Mt Sinai. However, it was made very clear from the outset, that the lamb had to be “roasted” and ready to be eaten that evening the 15th.with the unleavened bread and at the passing over of Elohim’s angel.

As already covered, we know that the lamb was to be brought into the household four days earlier and again this was prophetic! This was on the 10th.of Nisan.

The Torah, being the Five Books of Moshe - Moses, recounts that not one bone of the lamb was to be broken. And it was not!

The lamb was roasted with fire, and it was to be eaten with bitter herbs. Whatever was left had to be burnt.

At the time of Yahushua our loving Saviour, being during the Second Temple, the day generally called the “Feast of “Passover” covers all 3 feasts, but in reality it should have been known as the “Feast of Unleavened Bread” and the first day was, and still is a “High Sabbath day.”

Other details.

The blood of the lamb was to be smeared, or as better translated, to be “painted” on the “doorposts and the lintels.”

This was the blood that would “cover” the faithful of Israel and spare them from the final plague against Egypt. (Shemoth - Exodus 12:21-28). In the Exodus series I have online you can discover the details how all the Ten Plagues were directed against the pagan gods of Egypt. The next study will cover the amazing details regarding the painting of the door with the blood of the lamb, for you will discover one of the most powerful symbolisms in the Word and it should have a wonderful effect on you!

The Passover occurred on the 430th.anniversary of the promise YaHVaH gave to Avraham.

“I will make you a great nation. I will bless you and make your name great and you shall be a blessing” (Bereshis - Genesis 12:2 & Shemoth - Exodus 2:41).

The Fulfilment of the Passover Lamb

The sacrificial Lamb is a picture, a type of Yahushua “our Passover sacrificed for us.” (1 Corinthians 5:7).

Yahushua died on the *14th of Nisan, which was on the Hebrew Fourth Day or a Wednesday according to the (pagan) Roman calendar, which we live by today. Thus, Yahushua entered Jerusalem 4 days earlier, on the First Day of the week, being a SUNday.

We know from the Word that the Roman soldiers broke the legs of the two thieves at Yahushua’s side, but they found that Yahushua had already died at 3 PM, thus none of his bones were broken. (Yochanan - John 19:32-33).

The roasting of the lamb represents judgement. The bitter herbs represented the sins, or the failures of Israel and all men for that matter!

The eating of the lamb represents faith in the work of Yahushua, such as eating of the Matzah (unleavened bread) and drinking the wine at the “Seder” or the “Passover Meal” on the eve of the first night of the Feast of Unleavened Bread (Passover).

The blood (of the lamb without spot and blemish) had to be shed to be a refuge against physical and spiritual death. We may ask, at the time “why did Israel need protection from the wrath of Elohim that was about to come upon Egypt?”

The Scriptures contain the answer.

For there is not a just man on earth who does good and does not sin.” Qoheleth - Ecclesiastes 7:20.

The soul who sins shall die.” Yechehel - Ezekiel 18:20.

All sinners must die … “for the wages of sin is death, but the gift of Elohim is eternal life with Messiah Yahushua.” (Romans 6:23).

Yahushua the Lamb of Elohim is our Refuge, for Yochanan - John the Immerser said.

Hinei HaSeh Elohim - Behold the Lamb of Elohim who takes away the sin of the world!” Yochanan - John 1:29.

*More about Messiah’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem:

Believers have been taught mostly from very young that the death of Yahushua the Messiah took place on a Friday, which “christianity at large tragically calls “Good Friday.” Beloved, this simply does not add up Scripturally!

A comprehensive study of the Scriptures and the Feasts of YaHVaH will clearly reveal that this is a misconception due to a total mistranslation as well as a complete lack of Hebrew and Greek Biblical understanding of the Word of Elohim and the Feasts of YHVH Elohim! Yet would one not think that educated ministers and pastors should really know better? Over the years there have been many who have admitted to me that they do know the truth, but sadly they continue with “the flow,” for brother, I would be out of a job, thus it is easier just to go with the flow.” It seems that they feel it does not really make much of a difference and thus they continue to uphold Good Friday and even Easter is festival that is very much more than just a pagan name instead of the Scriptural Feast that was given to us by the Almighty Elohim in Vayikra - Leviticus chapter 23. All I can say is beware, Judgement Day is coming!

Remember, our precious Saviour is NOT the “Christ our Easter is sacrificed for us”, but the “Messiah our Passover is sacrificed for us.” (1 Corinthians 5:7). In addition, Yahushua, our blessed Saviour could not have been put to death and buried on a Friday unless every accepted Scriptural facts are all lies and thus the WORD of Elohim is a total untruth! - Elohim forbid!

Below we will look briefly at “the week of the crucifixion” and how it relates to the day of the slaying of the “Passover Lamb of Elohim!

Messiah’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem:

Mattityahu - Matthew 21:1-17                 Mattityahu and Lukas both say that after entering Jerusalem

Lukas - Luke 19:28-48                           He went into the temple and cleansed it.

Markus - Mark 11:11 Mark says               He went back to Bethany and did not cleanse the Temple till the next day.

Yochanan - John 12:12                          Yochanan records only that He rode into Jerusalem.

The question is: “What day of the week did Messiah Yahushua enter Jerusalem?” Was it on the first day of the week? In other words on the, day we now call SUNday? Yes it certainly was. However, the Word does not actually say so. But to make sure, let us investigate further:

Markus - Mark 11:12-20 Verse 12  “Now the next day …” This was the Second Day (the secular Monday). That confirms the first day entry into Jerusalem!

Verse 20                      “Now in the morning” The Third Day (secular Tuesday).

Markus - Mark 14:1       After two days is the Passover” According to the above, this would place Unleavened Bread on the eve of Fifth Day, being the secular Wednesday - the killing of the Lamb & in the evening the eating of the meal & Unleavened bread and Thursday is the continuation of the feast of Unleavened Bread.

Remember that the entire feast of “Passover,” “Unleavened Bread” and “Firstfruits” generally comes under the one name of “Passover” in remembrance of the passing over of the angel of YaHVaH back in Egypt!

Thus the above makes it very clear that our beloved Saviour was in Jerusalem on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday and we know that Tuesday evening was also the eve of “Day of Preparation,” and after the pre Passover Meal, they went to the Garden and Yahushua was taken prisoner late that night and having suffered a great deal, He gave His life freely at 3 PM in the afternoon on Wednesday the 14th.of Nisan!

The significance of the Blood on the door:

“And you shall take a bunch of hyssop, dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and paint the lintel and the two doorposts with the blood that is in the basin.” Shemos - Exodus 12:22.

As the blood had to be painted on both doorposts and the lintel above formed a special picture to Israel, one that is not understood in any shape or form by believers in general and that is so sad, for what is shown there is so wonderful and special!

Let me ask a question here … “Was the blood painted on the inside or the outside of the house?

Beloved, I have asked this question all over the world since 1984 and some 98.9% of those asked have replied “outside” for they will have deducted with good reason that the “angel of YHVH” would have to see it when he comes! Whilst the other 1.1% tend to say nothing at all, for most of them tend to feel that there may be a trick or something, but no there is no trick whatsoever! Yes, I am from a Hebrew background and there are those who somehow feel that with my understanding of the Word and Scriptural Hebrew that I could have something up my sleeve! Well let’s see if our Heavenly Father was telling us something in the painting of “the lintel and the two doorposts.”

But, before we do that, just think about it for a moment, would the Almighty YaHVaH our Elohim really need to physically have to see actual blood on the door? Would He not already know those who were faithful who had done just that which He had asked of them? Of course He would have known the very thoughts of their hearts, for beloved, our Father knows everything and knows the moment we even think of something or pray, thus He or His angel did not require to see the blood in the physical, but in the spiritual, thus the blood was not required to be on the outside for that very reason!

The truth is, the blood was actually painted on the inside, for YaHVaH, blessed be He, was giving His people a clear and a decisive sign, in order that Israel would see, know and understand what was about to happen. In addition we really need to know and understand the architectural style and construction of the day.

Thus, “How was it painted?” We do know that it had to be on both doorposts and on the lintel above.

Why? When the two doorposts and the lintel above were to be painted with the shed blood of the lamb without spot and blemish it formed a Hebrew letter, I will return to this shortly.

The Hebrew states that they were to “paint” - “smite” or in the Hebrew “Vehi’Ga’Tem” the doorposts and the lintel above. This word has a variety of meanings, but in this case the Hebrew root word is “Natan” meaning to “smite,” to “set upon,” to “inflict upon” the door with a covering of the blood. It was like a forceful covering of the side posts and lintels ensuring that they were fully covered!

The reason being, when Israel looked upon the door, the side doorposts and the upper lintel fully covered/painted with the blood of the lamb without spot and blemish, what Israel would see was a Hebrew letter, being the Hebrew letter “Ches.” This would give the Children of Israel an indication and an understanding what was about to happen for in that letter was a picture and a blessed meaning and also one for all of us today!

We need to remember as some will know as I have shown in other studies, that the Hebrew alphabet are not just letters, but it is also the Hebraic numerical system. Each Hebrew letter has a numerical value, for per example, A (Aleph) is 1 (one) and B (Beis) is 2 (two) etc, whilst the letter “Ch   = “Ches” is also the number 8. And Eight Scripturally means, “A new beginning” and “Life.” In Hebrew the wordLIFE” is “Chai” and I am sure many will have seen the play or the movie “Fiddler of the Roof and sung along to the song “To Life, to Life La Chaim.”

The Letter Ches = 8 = “Chai – LIFE

Every Israelite in Egypt who in faith did what YaHVaH Elohim, blessed be His Sanctified Name, had asked of them was covered by the blood of the lamb, and thus received a fresh start, a new beginning and were given Chai, Life!

Beloved in Yahushua THE Messiah, as we reflect on the door, painted with the shed blood of the lamb, we so clearly see a picture of our suffering Messiah Yahushua Who was “the Way and the Truth, and the Life,” for as we know from the Brit Chadashah, Hebrew for the New Covenant - He is “the DOOR.”

I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.” Yochanan - John 10:9.

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.” Mattityahu - Matthew 7:7-8.

Many of my Jewish brethren wear a gold or a silver Chai” pendant, like the one seen above. Let us pray that they may come to “Know, Believe, and Understand” that Messiah the Yahushua is “the way, the truth, and the Chai – LIFE!

No one comes to the Father except through Me” Yochanan - John 14:6.

We return to Egypt:

In each household with the lamb without spot and blemish having been killed according to the law of Elohim as given at creation, the blood of the lamb was collected in a single bowl.

Likewise, our Saviour, Yahushua shed His precious blood just once for the covering of “the sin” and redeemed all who 1. Believe, have 2. Repented, and as Yahushua commanded 3. “Keep My commandments”. (Yochanan - John 14:15). The last of these is forgotten by many in the “church” and sadly some Pastors now teach the very opposite to what our Saviour and His appointed Apostles so clearly taught us in the Word!

Whoever has My commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves Me. He who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I too will love him and show Myself to him.” Yochanan - John 14:21.

Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of Elohim and the faith of Yahushua.” Revelation 14:12.

You may ask, why did you say; “the covering of the sin?” Beloved, in YaHVaH Elohim any single sin is worthy of death.

The soul who sins shall die.” (Yechehel - Ezekiel 18:4 & 20).

Only through the shed blood of Yahushua, the Lamb of Elohim, can an Israelite or a Gentile obtain redemption and become ONE in Messiah! Read Ephesians 2.

The next question we should ask ourselves, “Did the blood of the lamb ‘alone’ save Israel from the impending doom?

The answer is a resounding No! For it had to be faith combined with action and that is the case today as well for Elohim has not changed as He still commands obedience!

Israel had to select a “male lamb without spot and blemish.” Then keep it in the house for “four days” and then “kill it” at the appointed time collecting the blood in one bowl, painting it on the door and lintel as directed by the Almighty.

Only by obeying YHVH Elohim, and doing what He asks of us, can He do a work in us. The faithful covered by the Blood of the Lamb must have the kind of faith that produces good works. Ya’akov - James puts it this way.

Faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. But, some will say, ‘You have faith, and I have works.’ Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. You believe that there is one Elohim. You do well. Even the demons believe and tremble! But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?” Ya’akov - James 2:17-20.

Did Yahushua not say; “If you love me, KEEP my Commandments” Yochanan - John 14:15.

YaHVaH our Elohim requires faith and action from those who love and obey Him! For that is the very principle of faith we see in the Word of YaHVaH Elohim and His works in full action on the days leading up to the Exodus, as Israel prepared for their deliverance when Elohim would “pass over” the houses of Israel and slay Egypt’s firstborn, being the 10th.and final plague.

Faith in the shed blood of the lamb without spot and blemish was the perfect provision for the redemption of the Children of Israel!

What does all this mean Today?

Each time the faithful in Messiah Yahushua come together at Passover as *One Body in Messiah, be they Hebrews and those grafted in, and partake of the Matzah (unleavened bread), the bitter herbs and the cup of wine as we remember the death and resurrection of our beloved Saviour – Yahushua – “our Passover Sacrificed for us!

Passover,” or the “Feast of Unleavened Bread” is the appointed time of remembrance for Redemption for everyone who believes and follows Yahushua according to the TRUTH of the Word!

I do need to state that 99.9% of the churches are not included here for they tragically uphold a pagan festival that commenced several thousand years before Messiah even came to earth, and it was added to an already paganised “christian church” and later that evil sun worshipper we all know as Emperor Constantine did not help as he edified the festival of “Estra” being the sun goddess, but known as “Easter.” Get your encyclopaedia and check out its actual origins and be totally horrified! Or read our online study on “Easter.”

Further aspects of Passover will be dealt with, in the following two feasts, being “Unleavened Bread” and “Firstfruits.”

*Regarding my earlier statement “One body in Messiah, both Jews and those grafted in, etc” It is Sha’ul of Tarsus – Paul who explains so beautifully why believers in Yahushua can no longer be considered as “Gentiles” (Ephesians 2:11-16) for they are now “grafted in” - Ephesians & Romans.

“Therefore remember that you, once Gentiles in the flesh who are called Uncircumcision by what is called the Circumcision made in the flesh by hands that at that time you were without the Messiah, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without Elohim in the world. But now in Messiah Yahushua you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Messiah. For He Himself is our peace, who has made both ONE, and has broken down the middle wall of separation … so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace and that He might reconcile them both to Elohim in one body through the stake (the tree).” Ephesians 2:11-16.

“ … you, though a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing sap from the olive root, do not boast over those branches. If you do, consider this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you.” Romans 11:17-18.

Concluding message:

Beloved in Yahushua our beloved Messiah, always remember that He is our Chai and our Life! It is important to note, to be redeemed out of Egypt and from slavery, every Israelite had to go through the door that was covered with the blood of the lamb without spot and blemish, which effectively covered and redeemed Israel, and so it is with us, the faithful in Messiah, in and through Yahushua our blessed Saviour, for we had to be covered by the Blood of the Lamb of YaHVaH Elohim, as it is for every soul who accepts Him and makes Yahushua the Master of their lives!

The truth is, we all have lived in Egypt at one time or another and I mean living in sin, all who have been slaves, bound to the self full of the I, me and myself and the stubbornness of the heart refusing to accept the truth of the Word for so long! But we do pray, please Father, may many more be finally touched with Your blessed Truth and have more lives accept Yahushua as their Messiah and Savour of their lives!

But beloved, through Yahushua our Messiah we are redeemed for once we know Him as “Yahushua” and I mean by THAT name - thus, I pray that you will have come to Him through Yahushua’s door of LIFE!

For then we have been set free from bondage, not just from Egypt, but in our modern world from the curse of pagan Romanism that has plagued the “churches” with false doctrines, which has been accepted in general because it has been around for so long no one has dared to question it in principle, but upheld it with variations. We are born into what can be called a ready made world, and we just accept “Traditions” and whatever we are told for it is all so matter of fact and it has been around forever, so it must be right, even if it is not and, sadly so much of it is an evil Satanic lie, which we fight in His Name!

Beloved, when it comes to THE Word, let YaHVaH Elohim speak through HIS WORD and not the Roman inspired preachers!

This Image contains a powerful message - I pray that you understand it and heed to it!

Please Note: The preparation of the Passover meal is on the 14th of Nisan (in March/April) for it is the same (preparation) day that the Passover Lamb was slain and it was eaten later that night, which according to the Scriptural Hebrew calendar would then be the eve of the 15th, being the first night of the “Feast of Unleavened Bread” which is a seven-day Feast that commences in the eve (pm) at the conclusion of the 14th of Nisan. The first day is a HIGH Sabbath Day, as is the last day a Sabbath!

The image reads “Why is this night different from all other Nights?”

Yahushua said; “No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day. It is written in the Prophets: They will all be taught by Elohim. Everyone who listens to the Father and learns from Him comes to Me. No one has seen the Father except the One who is from Elohim; only He has seen the Father. I tell you the truth he who believes has everlasting life.” Yochanan (John) 6:43-48.
