- YHVH, which is pronounced as YaHVaH
or YaHWaH. In addition we will also use our Heavenly Father’s
attribute/title, which is Elohim rather than “God,” which
sadly is the name of a pagan god. In addition we also love to use the actual
and real Name of our beloved Messiah which is
- Yahushua or Yahshua in short, for
this is our Saviours original Hebrew Name as given to Him at birth in
It is my pleasure to provide just a very short message that is a beautiful picture in relation to the blessed Word of YHVH Elohim (the LORD God). I am sure that after you have read this, you will have a new understanding of how to look at and understand the most blessed Word of loving Heavenly Father. What this short message will ask is this … see the picture …
In other words, in the same way we might view
a bridge!
Now let us be honest, it is only when we stand on the shore at a distance we are able to see the whole structure and its grandeur in all its beauty.
From a distance you are able to observe and understand how the bridge reaches from one side of the river to the other side, without actually collapsing into the river! You will realise that the bridge must be exceedingly strong and that it must have many parts, but from afar, although you can see the whole and the outcome, you cannot see the detail, thus now you have the picture it is time to get onto the bridge.
Now as you proceed on the bridge you will be astonished as you discover it was actually built as you behold the thousands of strong solid steel girders and you observe how these girders connect to each other, and each one is knitted to each other by big strong iron rivets that tie all these girders together making thousands of individual pieces of metal into one large single strong and solid bridge that reaches from one side of the river to the other!
There is no doubt that every girder, beam and rivet is essential to a bridge for all these together gives the bridge its strength, and keeps it together as one unified structure. It is obvious that the intricate construction gives the bridge its strength and it is able to stand against the ravages of nature, and considering that this mighty structure is the doing of man who were the creation of the Almighty YHVH Elohim, what then of His all powerful Word?
As the title as shown on the Image says, the Bridge may be likened to the Word of Elohim, for each Book, chapter, verse and every single word is connected. There is no doubt that they have all stood the test of time, especially against the ravages of those who oppose the Almighty, including that great adversary – HaSatan! However, thankfully we have the Word in Hebrew and in Greek and we are able to keep the originals as pure as possible, for men also have attempted to change and alter the Word, but thankfully those who have the full understanding of these languages, such as the author who is a Messianic Hebrew who knows Scriptural Hebrew, and his associate, who is a Greek Messianic believer, thus we have all sides covered! But, there is also the doctrinal problems that have come out of erroneous translations, thus we need to look at the word like the Bridge and see if it is right according to the Word and if it fits into what YaHVaH Elohim and Yahushua the Messiah said in the Word, for it is in the pieces, the girders, beams and rivets that we find the truth of His Word!
Beloved, the truth is that Yahushua our
Messiah is our Bridge for “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word
was with Elohim, and the Word was Elohim.” Yochanan –
“Therefore Yahushua said again, ‘I
tell you the truth, I am the door for the sheep. … I am the door; whoever
enters through Me will be saved. He will come in and go out, and find pasture.
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may
have life, and have it to the full.’” Yochanan –
Beloved in Messiah Yahushua, what has been
written above combined with the Bridge there is one other method of
understanding the Word when reading and studying the blessed Word of Elohim and
that is by keeping the three levels of understanding in mind, and these are as
listed below!
When we read and study the blessed Scriptures,
the Word of YaHVaH Elohim, blessed be His Sanctified Name, as a believer in
Yahushua the Messiah, we should keep the following three steps always in mind
for they are a valuable guide and it will certainly provide us with guidance
and illuminate the sheer beauty and the fullness of YaHVaH’s most blessed
Word.
1. Who was
2. When was it said?
3. How was His Word understood at the time it was spoken/given?
I do believe that these three points are most relevant to our understanding of 1. What the Almighty is saying at the time – 2. As well as what it means to us today - and 3. Especially to you and me right now!
I pray that this very short message has been a blessing to you, but I always like to remind one and all, whenever we read the blessed Word of Elohim, or any study, please always pray first for it is good to ask the Father in the wonderful Name of Messiah for guidance regarding the reading, be it His Word or a study, that he will lead you and have the Ruach HaKodesh (the Holy Spirit) guide you!
“Teach me Your way, O YHVH. I will
walk in Your truth.
UNITE MY HEART TO FEAR YOUR NAME!”
