Was the New Testament written in Greek of Hebrew

--Sharing our Saviour Yahushua the Messiah to the World!--

Please Read this FIRST: On this site we prefer to use the actual Name of our loving Heavenly Father as it was written in the Word, and thus you will note that we will use the Four Letter “Memorial Name” of - YHVH, which is pronounced as YaHVaH or YaHWaH. In addition we will also use our Heavenly Father’s attribute/title, which is Elohim rather than “God,” which sadly is the name of a pagan god. In addition we also love to use the actual and real Name of our beloved Messiah which is - Yahushua or Yahshua in short, for this is our Saviours original Hebrew Name as given to Him at birth in Lukas - Luke 1:31. This was the only Name ever used when He was on the earth by His family, disciples and His followers OVER THE centuries, even until today! However, it was changed to a foreign name by the founder of the new “pagan church of Rome.” Occasionally, we may also use other Hebrew or Greek names as well as different words in our studies for certain common words used are from pagan backgrounds and thus are not suitable. All names will be translated when they are FIRST used in a study or at various times as needed for clarity. Did our Lord and Saviour speak Hebrew, Aramaic or Greek?

The answer can be found on what was written on the sign

nailed to the stake (cross) where our Redeemer suffered for our sins?

And were the Gospels Originally Written in Hebrew?

Introduction:

Over the years there has been much debate regarding the question if our beloved Messiah would have shared the Word with the people in Aramaic, Hebrew or as many pastors have been teaching in Greek. Now I find that the first two sound either totally credible, or feasible, but the latter, simply unbelievable and I have very good reason for that statement! But I will make my thought clear right here at the very beginning and then I will scripturally justify it, for the Word is NEVER wrong, but man who has an agenda always is! Our beloved Saviour ONLY spoke in Hebrew whenever He was sharing things regarding His Father or anything spiritual and general teaching. I will explain all this hereunder, but let us look at the tragic event that took place at the “Place of the Scull”, “Golgotha” and when Messiah was placed on that horrid stake (cross).

What I will look at in this study is the sign that Pontius Pilate ordered to be nailed above Yahushua’s head whilst He was hanging on that evil tree.

However, before we do this, I just quickly wish to add here that most are not aware that trees are also considered as being a god in that evil world of that great “adversary” and I do mean Satan. In addition most “Christians” have never read the Almighty’s Words as given to Yirmyahu - Jeremiah, for it clearly states that it is forbidden to cut a tree and to bring it into a home and decorate it with silver and gold, etc, for the tree is the symbol of a pagan god. Read Yirmyahu - Jeremiah 10:1-3. Thus Xmas is really pagan, and our beloved Saviour was certainly NOT born in the snow, was He? No the sheep were not in the fields, neither were the shepherds, but you would only know that if you had your brains in gear!

Thus the point is that we saw our beloved Saviour so humiliated on what? A tree, but when His arms were outstretched and His wrists nailed to a cross bar, which then forming a cross. We should also note that the sign of a cross is also very much a traditional ancient pagan symbol and it should NEVER have become a “christian symbol! But Satan won again, for “christians” wear his mark, for Yahushua our beloved Messiah was never placed on an actual solid cross, but an upright stake, then a crossbar was added. But you would only know that if you were from a Hebrew background and had an historical and an archaeological background as the author does!

Now let us turn to the most blessed Word of YHVH Elohim!

The Word states …

“… and the sign was written in Hebrew, and Greek, and Latin.”

“Above His (Yahushua's) head they placed the written charge against Him; English: ‘This is Yahushua the King of the Judeans (Jews).’” Mattityahu - Matthew 27:37, Markus – Mark 15: 26, Lukas – Luke 23:38.

However in Yochanan - John 19:19, the words “Yahushua of Nazeret (Nazareth)” were added, and obviously these words were never on the original sign, and they were added hundreds of years later by the Roman church, yet the Word is clear the Almighty forbids the alteration of His Word, but the church of Rome never seem to care much about what YHVH Elohim has to say, For was it not they who took over and found a man who was a Samarian who the Word tells us was a sorcerer, most evil, and went to Rome and commenced this new faith, which he was the first to call the “christian church,” the around 280 years later it was led by a sun god worshipper Emperor Constantine who stood against the Almighty and deliberately changed His commandments and had all the faithful followers of Yahushua who would not follow the Roman pagan ways killed. Sounds like the typical papal church that continued his ways!

But back to the time of the Apostles, the evil Pontius Pilate was soon followed by the wicked conjurer *Simon Magnus who actually 1. created the terminology “Christ – Christos” and “christian” established modern “Christianity” in Rome, and no it was NOT the Apostle Shime’on ben Yonah - Peter for he never visited Rome and Constantine a faithful follower of Simon Magnus both he and that Simon came from the same satanic mould! *When you have finished this study please read: Apostle Shime’on (Peter) & Simon the Bishop of Rome.

But, let us now look at the words precisely as they were written on that sign and nailed to the stake wit its crossbar where our beloved Saviour suffered so much for our sins!

As we have already read above; “… and the sign was written in Hebrew, and Greek, and Latin.” Yochanan - John 19:19-20. Thus, WHY was it not just all in Aramaic? The point being, everything was for a very good reason!

1. In Hebrew:

“Zeh hu Yahoshua melech Ha Yehudim” Mattityahu -Matthew 27:37.

“Yahushua Ha Natzri melech Ha Yehudim”. Yochanan – John 19:19.

2. Greek:

“Outos estin Iesous o Vasileus ton Ioodioun.” Mattityahu -Matthew 27:37. (If you have the Greek Bwgrki font, I can forward the verses in Greek!)

“Iesous o Nazorios o Vasileus ton Ioodioun.” Yochanan – John 19:19.

3. Latin:

“Hic est Iesus rex Iudaeorum” Mattityahu -Matthew 27:37.

“Iesus Nazarenus rex Iudaeorum.” Yochanan – John 19:19.

Strongs Exhaustive Concordance clearly states that the sign was written in “Hebrew,” and the other two languages. However, amazingly the NIV version states that it “was written in Aramaic,” which is totally false, but they and many “Christian” teachers deliberately mislead their flock, for in reality want to take “the Jew out of Jesus!”

But the Word is TRUTH and you cannot stand against that what is written! You can check it out yourself by looking up either “Strong’s” or “Young’s concordances for both will make it perfectly clear … “#NT:1447 states - “Hebraisti = Hebrew!”

Now we know that is was obviously in Hebrew, which is the official language of the Children of Israel. Yes, there was a secular/common language spoken at the time in general, and that was Aramaic, but this was only used as an every day speech, whereas ALL Scriptural studies, discussions relating to the Word and the Almighty as well as all prayers said, be it outside, at home, in the Synagogue or the Temple, they are ALWAYS in Hebrew and never in Aramaic, which was forbidden!

Now what we need to understand is that is precisely why the sign had to be in Hebrew, for Pontius Pilate knew that Hebrew was considered to be the Hebrew’s most Holy language, and he knew full well that this would be a far greater offence to all of Israel, in addition, it would also serve as a massive slap in the face to the Pharisees who Pilate absolutely detested. Yet for some reason this is also not pointed out in the Brit Chadashah (the New Covenant) and I believe that this may have been deleted later by Roman sources, but the message is so blatantly obvious, the Roman Church did not like it!

But what do we really make of this?

“When Pilate saw that he could not prevail at all, but rather that a tumult was rising, he took water and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, ‘I am innocent of the blood of this just Person.’” Mattityahu - Matthew 27:24.

The mere fact that Pontius Pilate ordered the sign to be made to be an offence to our beloved Messiah Yahushua and our Heavenly Father, as well as insulting all of Judah and Israel and please remember, the Brit Chadashah proves that the twelve tribes of Israel were present at the time of Messiah! It clearly proves that this vile and evil man did not have such clean hands after all, as the above Scripture seems to indicate, and that the whole washing of the hands affair was simply a farce and is totally misunderstood and worse still greatly misrepresented by the Roman Church of ages past and it continues to this very day, for sadly many actually believe this to be true!

Beloved, you should realise that it has been clearly recorded in the history books, and that even includes some of the Roman books, that Pontius Pilate was one of the most atrocious and murderous butcher’s of his time, and he viciously slaughtered countless thousands of Hebrew men, woman and children during his reign of terror and in due course he had to be removed from his post because of his sheer brutality! Thus, he was sacked from his job and demoted because he was too evil, even for the Romans. Now, is this the man who washed his hands, thinking that our Saviour a Hebrew was a just and a good man and should be saved, never! He would have been overjoyed and made sure he had a sign made to rub salt into the wound!

Thus now we have some understanding why he would purposely place that insulting sign above our beloved Saviour’s head, for it was meant to insult not only Yahushua, but also to laugh and insult our Elohim (God), the Elohim of Israel, and I mean all 12 tribes! Yet in spite of the aforementioned fact, the truth is that the sign did contain one truth, for Yahushua our Messiah was, is and will always be … the “King of kings and Lord of lord’s,” HalleluYAH!

For interest, we should understand that the four Gospels were all originally written in Hebrew, but they were at a later date translated into Greek. This can be seen by the similarities between the Hebrew to the Greek translations and variations found in the Septuagint and these same variations and peculiarities are found in the Greek Brit Chadashah (the New Covenant).

Even after the Brit Chadashah (the New Covenant) was translated into Greek

the Memorial Four letter Name YHVH continued to be used until it was replaced much later!

Thus as you may now understand Hebrew was in full use at the time when our precious Saviour was on the earth, and beloved, Hebrew continues to be used until this very day, for no matter where the Jewish people live around the world, they may speak English, Dutch, German, Russian, Spanish, French, Indian, Cantonese or whatever their native tongue may be, but when they are in prayer be it at home or in their Synagogues, they all pray and read the Torah (Five Books of Moshe - Moses) and the Tehillim - Psalms, Writings and Prophets they do so in Hebrew! Thus, be not fooled by the false teaching that is preached in so many Churches. Sadly I have heard some of the most horrid things for many years, even the following statement by a certain Australian preacher from the Wesley Fellowship in Sydney back in the mid 90’s.

“Jesus never preached in Hebrew, no he did and would not, he spoke in perfect Greek and thus, being educated he taught in Greek and that is why we have the New Scriptures that has replaced that old one that still is tacked to our beloved New Covenant, weighing it down. And our beloved New Covenant is Christ’s Greek Covenant for He wanted it that way.”

If you are not horrified by that statement I feel very sorry for you, for you will be one of those who have greatly offended YaHVaH Elohim (the LORD God) for He is the Author of the Tanach (Old Covenant) and He stated that not one Word would ever be changed, just like our Saviour confirmed. All I have to say is this, our Heavenly Father clearly states that “the wages of sin is death!” If you believe anything along that line, those who believe that the Tanach is no longer valid like that evil pastor will be doomed and it will be the end of their lives and there will be no hope unless … they “Return again unto YHVH Elohim and Yahushua the Messiah in Spirit and in Truth” in full repentance, then He will also return to you and you will have hope of a life everlasting with Him!

Beloved and all the faithful in Messiah Yahushua, we must stand strong against those hideous lies, and I praise YaHVaH Elohim, blessed be His Sanctified Name, for Satan has had far too many victories over the centuries as he has managed to infiltrate, and yes, he has sadly infiltrated the greater Church at large, and all of this has been because most Churches are tragically the “sons and daughters” of the “Harlot pagan Church of Rome.” These churches may have shed many or some of their pagan doctrines, but, sadly they still continue to hold onto many of the harlot’s other pagan’s ways, doctrines, but worse still they continue to uphold some of the Roman pagan satanically inspired feasts! These are feasts covered on this site and I suggest that you go to the INDEX and read about them! But please, in the most Holy and blessed Name of our Lord and Saviour, read the relevant articles online prayerfully and allow the Holy Spirit to lead you, and do not allow the past and traditions of man lead you, for if you really love our Heavenly Father our Creator, above everything, then He must come first.

I know that many of the issues that I write about will shock many, especially weaker Christians, for sadly “weaker Christians” are usually just “followers” and never really turn and study “The Word,” – “Ha Davar” for beloved, we should know what The Word really says, and so often it can be very different what your pastor or priest may say!

In Conclusion - This is an Important Message.

We need to ask ourselves this very important question for your eternity is reliant upon it, what matters more to me “Ha Davar Elohim” – “The Word of God”, His truth, living according to His Word and His ways, being a follower of my Lord and my Saviour Yahushua the blessed Messiah, or my pastor, priest, minister, etc?

I know certainly my choice, 1. “Love your neighbour as yourself” was Yahushua’s command. For this means, if you live your life right, filled with spiritual love, YaHVaH Elohim will be in the centre of all things, and you will have been led to Him in and through the blessed Saviour Yahushua the Messiah! 2. Pray regularly and worship the Father and the Son who has returned to the Father and will soon return to the earth! 3. Before reading YaHVaH’s blessed Word, ALWAYS pray first and ask Elohim in the loving Name of Yahushua to give you discernment and understanding regarding the reading you are about to undertake. 4. Of course the Word MUST comes first and foremost. I love to delve deeply into study and I tend to use Strong’s and search out the meanings of different word’s etc, in order to obtain a deeper understanding.

“Teach me Your way, O YHVH. I will walk in Your truth.
